We had the good fortune of connecting with Tasiana Harmon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tasiana, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have a love for skin that I have fought to fix my very own flaws I had with my skin. Throughout my time at Atlanta School of Aesthetics I’ve learned a lot about the human body, skin types, organs, and skin conditions that I was eager to begin my solo career as an Licensed Master Esthetician. My thought process behind my business was “Will I change lives of others dealing with their skin insecurities?” “Will I be able to educate the people in my community on the importance of skincare?”. Months later here I am meeting my accomplishments of my thought process.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a Licensed Master Esthetician for my business the Skincare Experience which is located in the Decatur/Atlanta area. I offer a variety of skincare services from body waxing, electrotherapies, body treatments, and facials. I think what set me apart from others is that I actually want to educated my community on how to take care of their skin and have great self care. I am excited that I can actually change others lives and that my clients are commited to keeping up with their skincare routine. I started saving and buying equipment while I was working and still in school. It was not easy leaving my 9 to 5 to jump into my salon suite at the beginning. Having my husband and support system has helped me get through rather it was social media shares, passing out flyers or booking an appointment with me. I’ve learned that you have to budget your money and keep advertising. I would like the world to know that I am very passionate about what I do and I am going above and beyond to learn more to share with my clients and future clients.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friend comes to visit me I would like to go back to visit Sunburst Adventures just to go ATV riding. I would also like to go to Lips Atlanta for food, drinks and a drag show.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shoutout to my oldest cousin Latisha Page because she is a great mentor and she believe in me. I can’t forget about my former instructors from Atlanta School of Aesthetics which is Jamiella, Tia, Sam, Auntie Tasha, Kimberly and Alana.
