Meet Tara Jackson | CEO & Radio Personality

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tara Jackson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tara, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I graduated from Point Park University college in 2017. I really didn’t have any jobs lined up because I didn’t really want to work for anyone else at that time. Couple months after graduation I decided to start my own multimedia businesses called, HotxxMagazine LLC. I believed that if I went to college and collected most of the tools needed to succeed then I would be more than capable of running my own business. Then I started to get into radio so in 2019 I started my LLC for HotxxMagOnlineRadio.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a CEO of 2 LLC businesses, and also a Radio Personality for one of my LLC’s name HotxxMagOnlineRadio LLC. I have been doing multimedia since 2017 right after college. I am proud of myself daily because I been through so much and grown so much into the women I wanted to be. If it wasn’t for Point Park University, My Family, My Fiancé, My son and my supporters, I don’t think I would be where I am today professionally. It was not easy to be in the place that I am today. It took a lot of hard work, long stressful nights, a lot of investments, plus more. I can say it defiantly was not easy but when you do what you love to do, then the love of your talent and brand out weighs the stress and in no time you will see the growth and eventually you will start to embrace it. During my growth I have learned to never depend on anyone and always have agreements or contracts when working with your clients, No one is your friend when it comes to business, Business is business! I want the world to know that I am a young women with dreams for the unsigned and underground music artist around the world to be heard more. I use to be a music artist and it was hard especially being a female. I didn’t like that we didn’t have resources. Instead of just complaining I started my own and decided to help other artist trying to make it to the top. We as a team can do it. It just takes hard work and dedication. HotxxMagOnlineRadio is a brand/family of artist, businesses plus more I want to help get their stories out there, as well as other artist around the world.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am from Pittsburgh, in Pittsburgh we have a lot of dope places to turn up, eat and drink. If someone came to my city to hang with me. I would probably defiantly let them visit my office and if they are willing interview them on my platform if they are a artist or businesses owner. We would probably go to waterfront, Homestead for some grub and maybe challenge our inner childhood and go to dave and busters.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to give a huge shoutout to my mother who is no longer with us. She was my biggest supporter, my mom, and my best friend. I also would like to shoutout my older brother, my fiancé and my son. Through these hard times of loosing my mom and running a business. They all have been there for me day in and day out. Last but not least I want to thank all of my supporters around the world. The support means so much to me and I promise to keep going and never let my supporters down.
