We had the good fortune of connecting with Tanesia Alexander and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tanesia, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
I have had this passion for a very long time, so I know that this was meant for me. I always see into the future, imagining me and my business flourishing and successful. I always tell myself “This is just part of the process. Every blessing but also setback is all apart of the process.” Reminding myself this is all I need to regroup, refocus, and think about the bigger picture.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started Sadity Showroom as a junior in college. I knew then that my dreams were much bigger than just having a 8-5. I was always in love with fashion, from winning best dressed in high school to joining a great modeling troop in college. I’m a business major so I had the right techniques to help me understand marketing and everything I needed to know to successfully run a business. I face new challenges everyday, but I also learn new things as well. I’m most excited at how far I’ve come and the big places I’m going. I enjoy every bit of the process, good & bad, because what’s a success story without it?

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well first we would go to brunch at Atlanta’s Breakfast Club or Boogalou. Maybe do a little shopping and find a fun activity. We would do lunch at Harold’s Chicken & Ice Bar and maybe go to a bar for drinks. There’s sooo much in ATL the options are limitless!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Well first, I owe God all the recognition I can give. I also want to recognize my sister, Tiffani for always being positive, giving advice, and supporting me. I would also like to thank Troyia Monay (IG/ YouTube) for all of the gems she provides for boutique owners or just entrepreneurs as a whole. She has helped me tremendously progress within my business.
