We had the good fortune of connecting with Tanesha Gamory and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tanesha, how has your work-life balance changed over time?

Modern culture depicts life as various silos: individual, personal, professional, familial and marital. Being whole in each area of life improves its quality. After over a decade pursing professional success as an entrepreneur with minimal time allocated for personal necessities and other silos, I’ve decided quality of life supersedes any competing obligation. As a serial entrepreneur, one is easily consumed with the thrill of the chase. However, my satisfaction is gained from the ability to procure, secure and execute. Serial is the ability to successfully prioritize while exploring additional opportunities simultaneously. Work, today, is defined as the opportunity to create in a space that fosters growth from my greatest weaknesses, while remaining on purpose. It should not be obligatory, but pleasureful. Emphatically, I have earned the luxury to choose what I lust to do, and not what I must do! When this approach was mastered, work became balanced with life.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I built an enterprise and my goal is to leave a legacy for my children’s children.  Glamory Enterprises houses the corporations I own and my 501c (nonprofit). Primarily, I spend my professional life creating opportunities for others and developing people/businesses to transform lifestyles. I am the co-founder of RE Global; it’s a contract management & administration firm with a specialization in real estate. We’ve been blessed to offer services since 2005! My clients mainly include other corporations, government entities, and investors. I consider myself to be a problem solver. We find solutions for these entities’ problems. Empowerment, education, and elevation through global end-to-end solutions has landed our firm amongst industry leaders. RE Global is a minority-owned small business with large business tools and infrastructure. RE Global’s experience in managing federally funded public service projects continues to manifest successful restorative qualities upon enterprises globally. Dynamic professionals, diversified departments, and industry leverage has been leadership’s vision since its inception. With real estate sales exceeding $700MM during the COVID-19 pandemic, RE’s performance history demonstrates that its footprint is a permanent fixture!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

It’s a real link-up, if I can get one of mine in the A for an entire week! First, I’m sending a driver to pick them up at the airport. We’d have to hit all the hot spots!

Fine Dining is a must! I love trying new restaurants and I am big on the atmosphere and the experience because I am not a “foodie”.

Brunching on Friday, Saturday & Sunday between Toast on Lenox, Breakfast at Barneys, Le Bilboquet, and Negril.

Dinner would be between Pappadeaux, Le Colonial, Capital Grille, or Houston’s.

High End Shopping at Lenox Mall, Phipps Plaza and Shops of Buckhead, Avalon and Atlantic Station (for the experience).

Relaxation at JeJu Sauna.

Nightlife…I don’t party much at all. It just doesn’t excite me, but there are good vibes at The James Room and Ponce City Market.

Fitness sessions at Stone Mountain Park, Beltline, Orange Theory Fitness and private sessions with Ropeman (the best in the city) is a must; this is my therapy!

Just for Fun: SkyView Atlanta, Atlanta United Game (Mercedes Benz Stadium is a must see), IPic Theatre, concert or a show and maybe something at the Fox Theatre. I love an occasion to be glamorous.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

Little credit goes a long way, but little influence lasts a lifetime. I don’t know, if it was the look on my mother’s face when she fought to overcome her temptations or the actual thought when I saw her succumb to it. Maybe it was the shooting in front of my innocent eyes, the highest of the high, or the most inebriated behaviors witnessed where my environment became inconducive to thrive. It was the certainty expressed by my grandfather’s proclamation that real estate would offer me freedom from unwarranted burdens.

Theoretically, it could have been the desire to have a place to call home with a family in which I belonged. Maybe it was the habitual pattern for family member after family member to give a blind eye, turn their back and close their door (painful). Was it having no pillow or the next post? It could have been the joy I felt at the thought of using my intellectual abilities as a life altering vehicle.

Actually, it was all these things that deserve credit for affording an opportunity to convert major inadequacies into major abilities. Such experiences strengthened my problem-solving abilities to persevere during adversity. I often think about the fearless greats before me and those courageous trailblazers who inspire me. With this I can say thank you to every situation, every person, and every day I have lived such experiences. I maintain humility, a pure heart and a kind soul. These experiences I describe coupled with my DNA supports my stance that “I am built differently”. It’s not on me; it’s in me.
