We had the good fortune of connecting with Tamika Morris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tamika, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted to create a Luxury Hair Extension brand providing QUALITY hair at an affordable price. I have always loved hair and I do hair as well.

What should our readers know about your business?
I have started my hair line in February of 2022 in honor of Black History Month! I have always more for myself and always knew I was a business woman. For the past few years, I have talked about starting a hair brand but couldn’t do it at that moment. I wasn’t in a position to start. my brand at the time and that just came with PATIENCE! I wanted to start a luxury hair brand to provide quality hair extensions at an affordable price for everyone. Was it hard , yes! But my clients supported me to push forward. Sometimes not having the right support from people you’d expect it from will push you even HARDER! I appreciate all the feedback I get rather it’s good or bad. I take all feed back into consideration in order to fix any flaws and better my brand. Starting my line, I didn’t know where to begin. I started doing research online, watching YouTube videos trying to learn the good and bad about the hair industry. I am still learning to overcome my challenges but I have an open mind and I know that there are more challenges along the way. This is/was not easy for me but the only thing I can do is keep my FAITH and keep pushing forward no matter what life throws at me. I am proud of the woman I have became behind my brand and I will continue to grow!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting me for a week, I would take them to all the food places I haven’t tried yet myself. I would have a list of places we would eat at. We would definitely do TopGolf, Bowling, Andrettis, PonceCityMarket, Chateau Elan and maybe the BlueRidge Mountains.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Clients! I have been talking about starting my own hair line for the past 3 years. The only support Ive ever received was from my clients. The pushed me and encouraged me to move forward with my process. The encouraged me of not being so afraid and going after what I want so I would definitely like to thank them.
