Hi Tamika, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk taking is the ultimate cheat code of success! However, it’s also important to acknowledge that while risk-taking can lead to great rewards, it’s not without its challenges and potential setbacks. Calculated risks, strategic planning, and adaptability are also crucial elements in navigating the uncertainties of life and business. Every win that I have experienced in life came with risks, challenges and perserverence. I’ve learned that it is apart of this game called LIFE!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am Tamika L. Adams, the Founder and CEO of The Empress and Pearls Inc. My journey through Corporate America as an account executive has equipped me with a valuable skill set and profound wisdom that forms the backbone of this organization. In addition to my professional pursuits, I am a devoted wife and proud mother of two children and two grandchildren. I eagerly anticipate extending my nurturing care beyond my own family by guiding and supporting the members of our cherished Pearls community. As I continue to champion my daughter, Destiny, through her academic and career pursuits, I also look forward to nurturing and empowering others along their journeys.

My greatest accomplishment to date has been assisting my daughter in securing college scholarship awards totaling over $1 million! While this achievement was incredibly rewarding, it didn’t come without its challenges. What helped us overcome these challenges was our unwavering consistency and focus on the ultimate goal: ensuring my daughter could attend college debt-free and live comfortably as a student. We kept the goal clear in our minds and drew constant encouragement from it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Hands down! Chateau Elan Winery & Resort. I am an Oenophlie- lover of wine. This place is the perfect getaway for self care, gatherings and special events. Located just outside the city, this place has a laid-back but fancy feel. They’ve got a variety of wines, cool history, yummy food, and a nice vibe. Plus, they’ve got great places to stay with awesome stuff. It’s perfect for anyone – guys, girls, couples, or if you’re flying solo!
