We had the good fortune of connecting with Tamatrion Javers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tamatrion, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
One of the most important factors behind the success of Sublime Juicery is our individuality in the industry. All of our cold-pressed beverages are made with 100% organic, non-GMO produce. We do not use any preservatives or additives in our recipes. Every sip of cold-pressed goodness that our customers receive is all natural and juiced with love! We only have one product that uses natural sweeteners in its recipe, which is our infamous ‘X’ juice, boldly featured on our website. Sublime Juicery’s ‘X’ juice is an activated charcoal lemonade that utilizes agave nectar and manuka honey to sweeten its profile and is one of our top selling recipes and customer favorites. A second factor that has helped us pave our own lane is our ability to develop new recipes and produce high-quality products. We are always researching and learning more for the growth and sustainability of our business. Just because you start an endeavor and have a glimpse of success, does not mean that you or your education is done. You must be a student in all that you do before you can be a master of said craft. We are avid learners and networkers. There is always room to grow, room to learn, and advance yourselves and your business, so my advice is to never get comfortable. You’ll be surprised how much you can thrive in the unknown territories of life. Dare to be different, try new techniques. That is what makes us all stand out in a world of copy and paste artistry.

What should our readers know about your business?
Here at Sublime Juicery, we are most excited for the upcoming Autumn as we are releasing limited edition juices for the season. For the next three months, we will drop a special ‘Juice of the Month’ with seasonal ingredients to coincide with the upcoming weather and festivities. This endeavor is very different for us, but something we have been working on since last fall to bring to our audience and we are ecstatic for everyone to try our new recipes.

Who knows, they may become menu staples…

As mentioned before, trying new things, and taking those much-needed leaps of faith in our business has gotten us to where we are today. It has not been an easy journey, but nothing in life worth having is easy. All in all, I would say that the tough moments of being a startup business helped us develop tough skin and take new roads to the destinations we desire. One of the most vital lessons I have learned from being a first-generation business owner is that it is okay to fail. I used to fear failure, I actually hated it, and it made my journey much harder than it should have been at the beginning. The fear of failure cripples you, it makes you overthink and second guess some of the most divine ideas but faith over fear is what is important. I like to keep in mind that it is okay to fail, you can learn from that, but it is not okay to give up. Sublime Juicery is more than your average juice bar. We have big plans for the future, and we are happy to share this journey with such a supportive community of Sublimers! We are anticipating the opening of our brick-and-mortar location in 2024, to be able to convene with our community, as we are solely e-commerce as of now. We are truly excited to be a part of the change in society to live a healthier and overall wealthier quality of life, through the avenues of health, wellness, and community.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am a New Orleans native, I’m not a local to the area, but I would definitely take Bestie to some of the amazing food spots they have in Atlanta. Two of my favorites right now are the One Luv Café ATL and Tassili’s Raw Reality Café. I am also a big fan of nature and museums. The perfect day spent is on a museum tour, either at the High Museum of Art or the Fernbank Museum and ending it with lunch and painting in the park is always a win to reconnect with friends and nature in itself. Also, if you ever want to try something new, there are always a plethora of events on Eventbrite and even Airbnb that many local artists and entrepreneurs create and those are honestly the most surprising and eventful nights and days to be had in Atlanta!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The road to my success was not as straightforward as it may appear to others. I didn’t begin Sublime Juicery with a ton of money nor support from those around me at the time. I was blessed with a dream about my business and what it could blossom into, so I took a leap of faith, and I began on my journey of entrepreneurship. Being born and raised in New Orleans, LA, I didn’t grow up with a lot of positive influences, but I always knew that I was more than my environment and I always strived to achieve more for myself in life. With the motivation and tenacity that was instilled in me, I can only thank GOD for where I am today and where I am going next on my path to entrepreneurial freedom. All of the praise, honor and glory shall be to GOD for my story. I would say that I am a walking testimony that you are not where you come from. I kept my eyes on my own lane and on GOD, and I have been blessed ever since. With self-motivation and discipline, we can all accomplish anything. A lot of entrepreneurs yearn and search for that support from family and friends, and for some this may not be the case, but I just want to remind someone out there that the best encouragement, love and support you can ever receive is from YOU. You must do things purposefully for You. That is the only way you’ll have the fuel you need to follow through.
