We had the good fortune of connecting with Talena Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Talena, how does your business help the community?
I am in real estate and my business is “the World”. Housing is the one basic needs that every human being on the planet needs and I take it seriously. Not only does this one investment create a safe place for us it also creates wealth while we are in use of it. I say all the time “owing a home is the one investment that can generate you money while in use”.

We hear all the time about the impact of being restricted from homeownership alone has negatively impacted our community.

Wealth in real estate is very real and educating my community on this topic is a must. It is time to shift the narrative and create lasting generational wealth.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I own LinQ Real Estate, LLC in Atlanta and I just rolled it out in Southern California. I have only been in real estate for a little under 3 years and I will soon have my Broker’s License in GA. I am super excited about the growth of my real estate career. In GA and I was a Top Producer for Atlanta year 1. I can not wait to see what I do in California Year 1.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am really big on Food! I love great Mexican cuisine so we would definitely hit my favorite taco spot in Chamblee (Taqueria Express) . I enjoy bike riding Piedmont Park
Atlantic Station for dining at Yard House and bowling
St. Julep for drinks and a good vibe
Boogalou for daytime party vibes on Sunday
Gocha’s for breakfast
Skating at Sparkle’s in Smyrna
Little 5 Points for some eclectic shopping
Scooter riding on the belt line

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would have to start with my Parents of course. Clark and Debra Kornegay! IF it wasn’t for their drive and love, I wouldn’t have the compassion or skill set to work in real estate successfully. I wish they were here still to watch this chapter of my life unfold.

Big Shout out to my son’s father for pushing me in the direction of real estate. He recognized very early that my talents and skill were not being utilized fully in Management and that I needed to shift my talents to a career that was limitless in compensation for my skills.

My Aunt would be next. Bridgit has always been my biggest cheerlead and I get my saleswoman skills from her. I also get her drive and ambition. She and my Uncle own several homes that generate income and I plan to do the same.

Lastly, my children and my baby brother. My kid are such huge inspiration to everything that I do. I push everyday to be a better human being to ensure I am setting a great example for them.
