We had the good fortune of connecting with Takeia Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Takeia, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The Client Experience and never giving up are the most important factors to me in my Real Estate Sucess. In most cases this is my clients first time purchasing a home and I want it to be memorable for them. If issues arise I do alot of behind the scenes work with my Lender partners, closing Team, and colleagues to ensure my clients get to the Closing table and turn the knob on the door of their Dream Home. Also, I pride myself on the built in Concierge Services I’m able to offer my clients such as: Move-In/Move- out cleaning, Lawn Maintenance, Credit Restoration and more. We do alot of Community service projects as well as Giveaway’s throughout the year. I start each day with a Motivational video, Prayer, and a Plan. I have lost deals, clients, but I never lost faith in Myself. I continue to work through obstacles with two goals in mind: To get my clients to the Closing table and to Grow and expand my Real Estate Business and Brand.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think the biggest reason why my business is constantly growing is because I focus on two things: The Client Experience and being a Problem Solver. My first year in Real estate I had about $750,000 in deals that collapsed, and I remember feeling so defeated, even though it was issues beyond my control. I vowed that the next year I would be prepared for anything that could be possibly be thrown my way, be it financing issues, negotiating repairs, low appraisals, etc. Real estate is definitely not for the weak, but finding your niche is what will allow you to zero in on a specific group and have your services specifically tailored to them. My target client is the Millenial first time homebuyer, I created a private Facebook group called the “30 under 30: The Homebuying Project” which provides useful information on how to navigate the Homebuying process for Millenials. My goal is to put 100 families in 100 homes within the next four years, and I’m working hard to exceed that. When clients make the decision to work with me, I go above and beyond to make the experience memorable.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My Husband, Kareem has been my biggest supporter during this Journey. A career in Real Estate was something I always wanted to do, but life happens! Be it Financial obligations, Jobs, scheduling conflicts, etc but something was always an obstacle. However, when Covid hit in 2020 and with uncertainty of the future looming over the World he said go for it! I went for 3 straight weekends, 10 hours a day to make sure I was one step closer to my Dream. Also, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention all my Lender Partners, Closing Team, and Clients who have trusted me to get the job done.
