We had the good fortune of connecting with Taijaun Reshard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taijaun, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Honestly, I’ve always been into entrepreneurship and finding ways to make money online. My journey first started with ecommerce 4 years ago when I was 15 years old – I use to work at Kroger and had very little money. With the money I was earning I decided to start a clothing line that eventually failed. However during this, I learned several things – one, how to create a website. Secondly, I learned how to advertise through social media. With this knowledge I decided to start taking ecommerce more serious and I started up several ecommerce stores which failed, but through all my failures I’ve always learned something. Fast forward two years – I realized I genuinely had more of a passion for creating websites as opposed to running an ecommerce business. From there I started freelancing and taking on personal clients (Taijaun.com). Since then I’ve made well over $50k as a web designer and just this year – I finally decided to start my web design studio Solutified.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the founder of a web design studio Solutified. Here at solutified we pride ourselves on being the “blue ocean” of web designers. One thing most web designers do is “promise a pretty website”, but what most don’t know is – a pretty website won’t bring in sales. It’s the systems and processes you have set in place that will. Not to bore you but we have something we like to call the Hybrid-Hierarchy Website model and what it is – is a full out customer build that will ensure your website converts, guaranteed. It has been tested time and time again and has yet to fail us. It’s a revolutionary 6 step framework that will attract, capture, nurture and convert cold prospects into high paying clients.

I also love to teach people how they can make money online. I have a course with over 1,500+ students in it where I teach anyone how they can go from $0 to $10k Creating Simple Shopify Stores. Not only do I have a course but I also provide knowledge for free on my Youtube channel. The main purpose behind this youtube channel is for me to take on various side hustles and document the process. The idea behind it is to inspire other entrepreneurs or aspiring entrepreneurs the many ways they can make money online in today’s day and age. A Lot of people think the idea of making money from home is “to good to be true”, I want to show them it’s real and “give them the confidence” they need to be able to go out there and kill all limiting beliefs they may have.

Really failing time and time again before actually seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. People I knew thought I was crazy when I’d risk spending the money I did and seeing no success with it. Having people that are like family look at me like im crazy when I say I don’t think college was for me was hard as well. But this taught me to always believe in myself and to never introduce a big idea to a small mind. Because when you do that – they’ll shut down your dreams before you even get started.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I don’t get out much but when I do, hands down – riding scooters through piedmont park would be on the top of that list. After that I’d definitely want to go to Chipotle, haha. After that we’d go to an escape room then out to Cheescake factory for a good bite or two. Lastly, we’ll end the night eating rolled ice cream from Sweet Charlies. Lol I’m a pretty basic guy who doesn’t need much to be satisfied.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Big shoutout to my mom, hands down. If it wasn’t for her constant belief in me I honestly don’t know where I’d be. Her words have the strongest influence on me than anybody in this world, and if I didn’t have her I genuinely don’t know where I’d be. Growing up it was mainly herself raising 3 kids. There were times when she had nothing, I seriously mean nothing – but one thing about her, she’ll ALWAYS find a way to get it. How, I don’t know. That’s also the same lady who no matter what believed in EVERYTHING I ever wanted to do. When I wanted to play sports and she had no money, she’d find a way to get it. When I told her I didn’t want to go to school, she was one of the very few who stuck by my side and believed in me. So 10/10 my determination and mindset comes from my mom.
