Meet TaffaTee Johnson | CEO and Brand Ambassador of RoyalTee Naturals

We had the good fortune of connecting with TaffaTee Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi TaffaTee, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Naturally healing my son of atopic dermatitis was the beginning of my thought process behind starting my own business. Once I was able to bring relief and moisture to his itchy, dry and flaky skin with my all natural hand whipped body butter I was overwhelmed with joy. The joy that I felt when he no longer suffered from atopic dermatitis inspired me and that is when I developed a passion for skincare. My goal is to help others that may also be suffering with skin issues such as; Psoriasis Acne, Acne Scarring and of course Atopic Dermatitis.

Often times we seek prescription drugs to heal us; which there is nothing wrong with that. However, I do believe that the bodies are designed to naturally cure itself. Which is why I use natural and organic ingredients in all of my products; Ingredients such as herbs, roots, nuts from trees, etc.

My thought process is if you allow your body to heal itself naturally then you will not be dependent upon medication for the remainder of your life. When my son was diagnosed with atopic dermatitis the prescription medication that was prescribed to him would only help for a few hours and it seems like once it wore off he was scratching his skin even more.

This caused his skin to break, become swollen and actually bruise. I also noticed that the ointment that was prescribed to him did not assist with bringing moisture to his body. It simply made his skin oily and it honestly was not beneficial to his needs.

So after much prayer and research I ditched the prescribed ointment and decided to whip up my own body butter that will bring the moisture back into his skin and not just leave his skin oily and to my surprise after one month I saw great improvement so I continued to use my own body butter and my son is 16 years old now and he no longer suffers from dry itchy skin. My desire is to help others that may also have skin issues and is looking for a more holistic approach on their healing journey.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Royaltee Naturals was created out of love and passion for healthy skin and scalp. I specialize in creating skin care essentials that are organic and natural. Which means that my products do not contain parabens, aluminum, phthalate, polyethylene, formaldehyde or baking-soda. I hand-make natural and organic skincare essentials for all sexes, skin types and all races. Some of my products are made with Goat Milk,some with Shea butter, some with Avocados, others with Turmeric and herbs such as Raspberry leaves, Lavender, etc.

Brand wise I am most proud of myself and my three son’s because we are the face and living testament of RoyalTee Naturals.

I can honestly say that my journey on this path of entrepreneurship has not been an easy one. I have had to face many challenges and obstacles.

Some of those challenges and obstacles that I’ve encountered are effective marketing strategies, successful promoting, obtaining and retaining clientele and of course having the finances to successfully invest in my business.

But with my faith in Jesus, my loving family and my supportive friends; I have managed to triumph over those hurdles. Because of positive influences, I am better prepared and more equipped to overcome those stumbling blocks if they were to return in the near or far future.

I want the world to know that my products are not geared towards a specific age bracket, gender, race or skin type. I provide mobile services such as facials, feet detox, beard facials and vaginal steaming. I am always seeking ways to enhance my skills which is why this upcoming summer I will be studying to become a certified esthetician. to enhance my skills.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There is such a wide variety of things to explore here in Atlanta. Some of my favorite hang out spots are Apache for poetry, Sun Dial restaurant for a 360 view of the city, Biking on the Beltline near Ponce City Market, Sivas has the best hookah fruit bowls, Monticello for live entertainment from some of the best R&B artists and some shopping at Underground.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to Jesus for I am nothing without the Holy Spirit. My three amazing sons Jami, Nathaniel and Noah are my biggest supports and motivators. My mentor Herbert Pettigrew; he is my trusted advisor and role model. Lastly, I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my amazing family and friends; they are always encouraging me and promoting my products.
