We had the good fortune of connecting with Taelar Made and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Taelar, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
How much hard work it really is—- the sacrifices, long days: longer nights, sleepless nights, missed holidays, family moments you can’t get back!
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What I feel sets me apart from a lot of others is my bluntness! I am as real as it gets. I don’t sugarcoat shit so you think it’s a candy bar—- I let you know; it’s shit. I’m not in this industry to make friends, I have more than enough. I’m hear you make money. I am no, “Yes (wo)man”—- which is probably why my journey has taken a little longer, but I don’t mind because it’s still grooming til this day into the woman God has destined me to be. Although I didn’t have this same mindset when I first came in the game as an artist but with time you learn a lot, fast! I want people to remember Taelar Made as a true music lover, a women with an ear of gold that can spot talent from a mile away. I want to be known for people giving chances and changing lives.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First stop! Gotta get the do, done. @queenpinzandneedles— after her but before I leave the plaza gotta stop to @binkandbougie boutique. Gotta take her by @hattiemariesbbq for the Dino rib, and those sides OMG!!!!!
On Thursday, we would hit my favorite place in Atlanta, @blueflamelounge. Besides the beautiful and inviting atmosphere and people, the kitchen is home to Kellz Kitchen. Hands down the best baked wings I’ve ever had in my entire life. (mouth currently watering)
Friday we’d go to my residency club— in the heart of downtown, Gentlemen’s Club. Where we turn up every time.
Usually on Saturdays or maybe even a Sunday pending my schedule I go to Auto Bistro for my weekly wash, while enjoys their perks: Full Kitchen, bar and the best hookahs.
Sundays I love to check out Restaurant 10, it’s a cool laid back vibe right across from the arena.
…. within this time of their visit I’d be sure to take them by BonFireATL, The Aquarium, The Trap Museum and Atlantic Station.
A week isn’t enough to show all the beauty of Atlanta but this is a good start.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to all the little girls with a little fire in their heart, eyes and soul for music. For the little girls who’s eyes light up at the sound of the right melody—- for any young woman who dares to wonder, “What if”, or “Can I?”!
I’d also like to recognize my parents— my foundation, my sisters, family and few friends; for always supporting me and letting me create my own path in life.
To anyone who ever played me, doubted me, failed me, abandoned me or tried to break me: THANK YOU, you move(s) motivated me to go harder.
