We had the good fortune of connecting with T-Nyce and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi T-Nyce, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Well I’m from Toronto, Canada where we have no music infrastructure or creating music careers. So my thought process was to fill in a portion of what is missing and dominate. A music production company that develop talented creatives, push music as a career, and professionally change lives.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a Composer, Music Producer, and a Vocal Producer. What sets me apart from others is the fact I do all 3 job positions very well at the elite level. There are only 3 producers that can do all 3 at the elite level. Quincy Jones, Pharrell Williams, and Dr. Dre.
I got to where I’m at because I failed for 7 years straight. But through the failures, I perfect every area of my expertise and became an elite. This wasn’t easy mentally. But I also overcame these challenges because of my past; playing sports in high school. I was very competitive and mentally touch! #mambamentality
I’ve learned a lot throughout. I’ve learned that timing is getting into position. Patience is preparing for the position and staying focused is dominating when you reach the destination.
I want the world to know me as someone who curved his own lane as a leader and professionally changed talented creative lives.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to few spots such as: Chubbies food, Mademioselle, STK, Harbour, and Mild Afro Lounge just to name a few.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Definitely want to shoutout mentors like: Dion ‘NO.ID’ Wilson, MBK Jeff Robinson, Edwin Holmes, Bimmy Antney, Darrale Jones and Russell ‘Big Block’ Spencer. They’ve all thought me different things that has made me successful today.
