We had the good fortune of connecting with Susie Nelson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Susie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When the pandemic hit. I just sat back and thought what was it I could do to occupy my time since we were social distancing. I was just looking on IG and saw some beaded bracelets that I liked. I started looking into the way they were made and thought “hmmm” I can make these. I preceded to amazon and got the materials and the rest was history. People started requesting them and it’s been my passion ever since.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a quality control associate at Pro Georgia state table and Barred business. I love working in civic engagement, being involved with the community and my people.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would probably take them to Hattie B’s or Busy Bee. Im a simple woman. I like going to the Hawks games and Falcons games, stuff like that.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I dedicate my daughter Ayana. She spoke life into my passion turned business. She always swooning over my work as well. So for that I shout out GoodVybseventhall.
