Meet Susan Ellis | Business Owner, Living Kidney Donor, Wife, Mother

We had the good fortune of connecting with Susan Ellis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Susan, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My Husband, Lance, was very ill, receiving Dialysis 3 times a Week, waiting for his kidney transplant, often not able to make the drive to his own job where he worked for someone else. The company he worked for was only focused on their bottom line and were not the least bit empathetic regarding his health. We wanted to set up a business that was focused on family and community first, Allowing Lance the opportunity to set his own hours in order for him to focus on his own heath. It was a risk but no more of a risk than Lance continuing to work for the employers that caused him stress.

We have been able to project manager many cooperate projects that stretch from Florida to Alaska, such a Moe’s Southwestern Grill, Classic Collision and Window World. Companies with many locations al lover the United States often prefer us to handle their signage needs to avoid duplicate vendors creating a an inconsistent product. Image360 Marietta has worked diligently to create healthy relationships with 3rd party vendors which allows us to keep continuity for our more robust customers.
We also enjoy helping our our local small businesses, bringing their marketing needs to life so that they may thrive!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Lance and I enjoy the more calm spots in the city; we have found that The Mill in Roswell just outside the perimeter allows for a wonderful nature hike along the Chattahoochee River with our girls and dogs. After that hike a good stroll in downtown Roswell yields a fund afternoon of food and local shopping. For more of an eclectic vibe we would definatly take our friends to Ponce City Market and Krog street.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Our faith is what guided us on this journey. It’s not easy being a business owner as you will bear all the failures but when the success is great you celebrate.
