We had the good fortune of connecting with Superstar Symone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Superstar, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
DON’T WAIT FOR HELP! It’s going to come eventually, so while you are hoping for that helping hand, be proactive & still try to help yourself. Do research, see how you can get things done without anyone’s help, just in case the person or the people who said they would help you out with something, never do.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am most proud and excited about landing two acting roles this year, which I received IMDb credit for and now can consider myself an accredited actress. Now I have been pursuing the arts for 13 years I started in the year 2010 singing in a padded closet. I like to consider myself a singer-actress. Nothing that is worth it comes easy so it has never been easy and I don’t think it ever will be. Even if you break into the industry there is going to be something that is hard and I don’t think it will be worth it if anything were easy. I simply overcome the challenges I face by persevering being steadfast & unmoving, never giving up, taking God with me every step of the way. Some lessons I’ve learned are not to procrastinate not to wait around and to invest in yourself. If you don’t, who will? I want the world to know that I took a real stab at the pursuit of my dream and gave it an actual shot.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So I always go different and random places so the places are always new so we would just get outside in the city. It really depends on the time of year and what’s going. But if I had to choose a few restaurants I definitely take them to The Real Milk and Honey and The Breakfast Boys for breakfast or brunch. It will be cool to take them to check out this very cool place called fade + facet. I really love miniature golf so we could do a little small daytime event at the putt shack. I really like to relax so I would Take them to a great massage parlor called Kingdom wellness so they can get a massage by King Leo! There is never not any place to do or anywhere to go in the city of Atlanta

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate This shout out to my late brother Craig “PSYC” Plummer. I just want you to know that I will continue to follow my dreams and carry you in my heart every step of the way Rest in Power King!
