We had the good fortune of connecting with Suitor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Suitor, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
We all collectively have played in bands over the years. Most of them being heavy or considered hardcore. This project started as us just wanting to write music a little more easy listening while still holding true to our influences.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
In a time where online music is saturated it’s hard to stand out. We started this band and one of the worst times we could have. It formed right before the start of a major pandemic. We are proud of what we have accomplished so far but still want so much more. Now that things are beginning to calm down, we are trying to hit the music industry as hard as we can. We have learned how to navigate online marketing while still making a ton of mistakes a long the way. Being in a band these days is much more than music. It’s a whole brand. We do our best to stay true to the music we want to make while also considering what else it takes for our music to stand out. We are a bunch of dudes that just enjoy getting in a room and writing the music we want with hopes that everyone else is gonna dig it too.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Half of us are from Chattanooga, TN, the other half are from Rome, GA. It’s safe to say we would show them all of the local hotspots for food but would also introduce them to our friends and fellow musicians. We have so many great food trucks, such as Jamwich, as well as an incredible amount of talent. From Musicians to Artists and Photographers. Community is everything. It has always been something that we as a band holds close to our hearts. We all come from beautiful areas surrounded by the best people and we think that’s something to show off.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
