We had the good fortune of connecting with Sue Worthy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sue, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Living in a food desert, I’ve seen firsthand how difficult it can be to find healthy, convenient food options when you’re on the go. There are many places to eat, but healthy choices are far and few between. Finding a nutritious meal or snack can feel like solving a complex puzzle—almost like trying to achieve world peace. And as someone passionate about health and fitness, I know the importance of proper nutrition in reaching my goals and maintaining performance.
I decided to open my smoothie shop because I want to be part of the solution not the problem.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Twenty-five years ago, I faced my own health challenges—struggling with being overweight and feeling unwell. Determined to transform my life, I embarked on a wellness journey that changed everything. I trained rigorously, earned my certification as a group fitness instructor, and gradually worked my way up to become a Fitness Coordinator. But despite my accomplishments, I felt unfulfilled—overworked, underpaid, and yearning for more.

Driven by a desire to make a real difference, I took a leap of faith and opened my own fitness studio. It was a challenging venture, with hurdles to overcome, but it fueled my passion for helping others achieve their health goals.

As a serial entrepreneur, I continued to innovate. During the pandemic, when the world shut down, I launched EnSues Smoothies—a small home-based business dedicated to making fresh, healthy, plant-based smoothies. My goal was simple: stay healthy myself and support my community in doing the same.

With dedication and perseverance, I saved enough to invest in a food truck, and now, I proudly operate a storefront/Smoothie Bar/EnSues Smoothies. My mission is clear: to empower my community to lead healthier, happier lives through nutritious, accessible food options.

This journey has been filled with challenges and growth, but my passion for health and community remains at the heart of everything I do.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First we’d go visit JeJu’s, a relaxing retreat in Gwinnett County for sauna and massages. Then we’ d head to the
Market & The Roof which is a bustling marketplace with shops, restaurants, and food stalls.
The Roof offers stunning skyline views, a rooftop amusement park, mini-golf, and a beer garden.
Next, The Atlanta BeltLine for some biking , viewing and exploring eclectic neighborhoods like Inman Park and Piedmont Park.

Finally, we’d end the night at Rock Steady, a Caribbean Restaurant that offers Live music and exotic cocktails.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I must acknowledge the incredible impact my parents had on shaping my relationship with food and health.

Growing up as one of nine siblings, my mother cooked healthy, home-cooked meals for all of us every day. She poured love and care into preparing nourishing dishes that kept us strong and energized. My father played his part by ensuring that our table was always stocked with fresh produce—fruits, vegetables, and wholesome ingredients.

Because of their dedication, we didn’t rely on fast food or processed snacks. In fact, fast food was almost a rarity—perhaps as a special treat once in a blue moon when we’d visit a local bakery, doughnut shop, or ice cream parlor. These moments were special, but they were just that—occasional treats in a lifestyle rooted in health and balance.

Their example gave me a blueprint—a clear picture of what it looks like to eat healthfully, to nourish my body with real, wholesome food. It’s a blueprint I carry with me today, and one I want to share with my community.

Because of their influence, I understand that healthy eating isn’t about deprivation; it’s about making mindful choices, creating a sustainable lifestyle, and understanding that good food should be accessible and enjoyable.

This foundation is what motivates me to create solutions that bring healthy options to those who need it most—helping others build their own blueprint for a healthier life.
