Meet Subbound Maniax | Music Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Subbound Maniax and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Subbound, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I’m from a neighborhood called Brownsub in Miami, Fl. My up bringing made me who I am today, I was raised by a single mom who did the best she could. I always loved music and football which both has played a major part in my life. Growing up I was raised in Scott Projects at my grandmother’s house with most of my cousins. We didn’t have a lot but we made the best of everything we had. I can remember a vivid memory of my grandmother creating me a ghost Halloween costume out of a pillow case. At the time the hood was laughing at me but me as a jit I was just happy my grandmother figured a way to get me some candy. Memories like that make me appreciate where I’m at now and the accomplishments I’ve achieved so far.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I like to tell people that I make pain music because you hear my pain in everything I say. My sound is unique it sets me apart from any other artist due to the fact that I do not want to be like any other artist. Subbound is the culture we were raised on where I’m from in Brownsub Miami, Fl. Maniax is my rap style it hit different. I’ve overcame three bullets and two indictments just to be here to tell my story. I’m an example that if you grind hard towards something you want it’s achievable. When you grow up where we grew up at in Brownsub we were always the most hated that’s even more evident today in the Miami music scene. I make music for my bruddas that’s no longer here anymore.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are two sides to Miami, Fl you have Brickel, South Beach, and Downtown which are amazing places to vacation at but as far as food. I would recommend spots located in the heart of Miami like Perry Wings which a famous fried chicken spot in our city. Another great spot in the city a little north is called famous egg roll which is a spot that has different selections of egg rolls my favorite is the steak and cheese egg roll and the Hibachi egg roll. Now when it comes to night life I love Exchange on the beach or The Brick that is located in Wynwood. The strip clubs I would recommend is Klub 24, The Office, and Boobie Trap on the river. If you hit these spots while visiting Miami your trip will be epic.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a special Shout out to everyone at the 100K Management team. They showed me what it meant to be organized how to drop a single and prepare a promo run for your single. They taught me the business side of the music I already had the talent and music ready.
