We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie L. Hobbs and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephanie L., what is the most important factor behind your success?
One word CONSISTENCY! If you want people to take you seriously, you must be consistent.  I show up every day for the Style Me Stephanie brand. I’ve created my own lane of style and fashion as the creative force behind the SMS brand!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I developed a passion for fashion as a young girl. I was born and raised in the small town of Moro, Arkansas and learned early on about the importance of looking appropriate for every moment. As a little girl, I would walk around in my mother’s high heels. I also inherited my mother’s style and sense of fashion, amongst my friends, I was known to be very stylish. I’ve always had a passion for styling others for any event, big or small. While attending events, people would notice my unique style and ask who created such a look. Initially, I had no desire to develop my craft of styling others into a business, but I decided to go for it after prayer and careful consideration. On June 16, 2018, Style Me Stephanie was launched at The Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

During the launch, I hosted a fashion show that showcased my styling skills. The models’ looks were created using existing pieces from their wardrobe, and I simply added the Style Me Stephanie signature, which is a pop of color. As a result of the amazing job performed, I began to receive calls for other shows, speaking engagements, and personal styling sessions. Style Me Stephanie was on the move.

Style Me Stephanie has a range of services which includes personal/fashion styling and wardrobe, personal shopping, virtual styling, photoshoot consultations, closet revamps, fashion show coordination, and my own product line. Additionally, I’m a Brand Ambassador for Bag It Up Boutique in Arkansas, SBDNC Apparel in Georgia, Lead Wardrobe Stylist for Chrissy Bryant Photography, and an Independent Contractor with Q Clothier. I also began offering model training in 2019.

What makes it all worth it for me? It’s the positive feedback I receive from my clients after styling them. I also help to build their confidence and boost their self-esteem. I desire that my clients be the best version of themselves. I want to inspire, motivate, and educate others through fashion. My clientele includes county clerks, judges, social butterflies, and elite circles.

Because the Fashion Industry is forever changing, I understand the importance of staying relevant. I educate myself on the latest fashion trends and post daily style tips on the Style Me Stephanie Facebook page to keep my clients and followers in the know of the latest trends. I’ve learned from Celebrity Stylist J. Bolin by participating in his Fashion Boot Camp. J Bolin is my biggest inspiration. I see so much of myself in him. He loves color, and he started out styling his clients from their closets, just like me. I’m his biggest fan.

In the future, I want to become more involved in my community by giving back financially and educating teenage girls in fashion and etiquette.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh, this is easy!  I live in the city of Little Rock Arkansas. I would take my best friend to some of the hottest restaurants, like Samantha’s Tap Room and Grill, Petit and Keet and Cypress Social, just to name a few. Oh, let’s not forget the best brunch spot in town, Red Door. We would go listen to some live music, Little Rock has some of the BEST entertainers in the world, So talented, in my opinion! I would take her down to the River Market District to visit the chic and gathering spots. We would also do a little shopping at the Outlet Mall and the Promenade at Chenal.  We both love cocktails, so that would be part of the itinerary as well.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like shoutout 3 people.

1. Tonia Grant, owner of Bag It Up Boutique for giving me the opportunity to be part of her brand. She allowed me to be her Brand Ambassador.

2. Rhonda Aaron, founder of Sister Friends United, Incorporated, for believing in the Style Me Stephanie brand.  She continues to push me to my FULL potential.

3. My friends and family for the consistent love and support.
