We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie KING and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephanie, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
My end goal is to eventually be able to sell my patent idea to one or more major companies. I would also love to hopefully be able to see Peek-a-Boo Gloves on every shelf in multiple stores worldwide.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is all about bringing back the idea of women with rings being able to wear gloves. That’s it. I wanted to create a way for women to wear their rings while wearing gloves during cold weather. I wanted to take away the discomfort of pulling gloves over the ring or not wearing the rings at all. That’s what sets me apart from others.

The thing that I am most proud about is me actually STARTING. Starting to dream, imagine, create, and believe.

Getting to where I am today was not easy. I suffered many setbacks with little to no sales. Now that I’m in my second season, I’m selling more gloves and getting more opportunities to show and sell my gloves. I appreciate the struggle because without it I wouldn’t be where I am now.

One thing that I want the world to know about my brand and my story is that there is nothing wrong with being different. We embrace and love different.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my friends were coming to visit it would be a week of fun and relaxation. We would visit local restaurants like Orleans on Carrol Street, Gracies on the Rooftop, and The Pond. We then would head to Atlanta for a few days of shopping, massages, and live music.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My son, Stephen, deserves all the credit and recognition. He has always been my greatest inspiration. Throughout this whole process of creating, planning, and executing, he has been right there to guide me. He offers me advice and suggestions. He also manages to find time to help me promote my business while running his own successful clothing business. He is the best kid/son ever.
