We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Canton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephanie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I remember sitting at work one day, and I said to myself, I wonder where I would have been if I pursued my own dreams as hard as I work for someone else’s. I remember going home that same evening I talked it over with my husband. I had always dreamt that I would be something totally different than what I was doing, but the truth is, I was making great money in my previous occupation, and I was comfortable. When my husband gave me the okay to move forward with starting our own empire, that is exactly what I did. I sat down and planned everything out one business at a time.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am the Founder of GYLT Ministries- The Birthing Center (G-Get Y-Your L- Life T-Together) I operate as an Apostolic Midwife . This is a religious organization and I offer one on one coaching, writing coaching and what I like to call spiritual birthing plans. I work with individuals to help them find out their purpose here on earth, along with support to cultivate their God given identity. I also assist in the birthing of products, businesses and ministries.

I am the Founder of GYLT Financual Coaching. Within this company, I operate as a Budget Coach and Financial Strategist. I offer monthly membership, along with customized budgeting for qualification of first time home buyer programs such as NACA and USDA.

I am the Co-Founder of Canton Enterprises which houses the following entities: Canton Hybrid Publishing Company and The OmniLIfe Center. We have several services that we offer.

Every ministry and business that we have will help any individual in any walk of life better themselves, and reach their full potential.

What sets us apart is that, we cater to the entire individual. We found that the reason alot of people are maximizing their potential is simply because they are trying to make ends meet, or no one believes in them enough to encourange them to be more than who they are. So, from a financial standpoint, we help you manage your money better, so that should there be any training, or financial obligation to better your career, it is readily available to you because we have set it aside. When it comes to have a side hustle, or a great idea to make extra money, we will help the individual turn it into a legit business, and offer a plan of success for their business. Should they require additional mental support or clarity, well, we offer those services as well. We literally cater to the entire person, along with their hopes and dreams.

It definitely was not easy starting any of the businesses ofr ministry. There were so many things I had to learn, study and create on my own.

Two of the most important lessons I have learned is that Sleep is overrated. Seriously! When building your own empire, you will not sleep, and you truly do need to be okay with it and take care of yourself so that you have the stamina and endurance that it takes to be successful. The second most important lesson that I learned, is that when you can’t find it, create it. Sometimes, people get stuck in one area because what they need, they can’t find. I found that if I take the time to create what I need, I no longer have an excuse to keep moving forward.

We want the world to know, that the YOU, you always dreamed of becoming, is still possible and with Canton Enterprises and GYLT Ministries, it is more than probable!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well, I currently reside in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. Monday- Beach and Black Rock for Dinner
Tuesday- Water Rapid
Wednesday Sawgrass Mall
Thursday- Sunset at Coral Springs Fishing Pier- such a vibe
Friday- SpareZ Bowling- such a vibe for the family
Saturday Night- Downtown Las Olas. You name it, its there, food, fun, music,

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a shoutout to my King, Jadarien Canton Sr. Running a financial company is not easy, and extremely time consuming. He allows me to be the entrepreneur I was destined to be, and he supports me every step of the way. I would like to shoutout our four children. They are super supportive and understanding of the demand in running your own companies and ministry. My parents for instilling in me my hard work ethic. My spiritual parents, Gerald and Yvette Benton for cultivating me as a spiritual leader and business woman. Lastly, my besties/sisters. You know who you are, and thank you for everything!
