We had the good fortune of connecting with Steffanye Rayol and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Steffanye, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Born to Brazilian immigrants and raised on the values of hard work and resilience, I am a first-generation American whose journey into beauty began with a love for makeup and a self-taught education in all things skin. Now an esthetician and consultant for the European skincare brand Olive Tree People, she champions a revolutionary approach to beauty: waterless, 100% organic, and powered by hydroxytyrosol — a potent olive leaf elixir.

Far more than skin-deep, my mission is to help others feel seen, confident, and empowered through transformative skincare. Blending science, soul, and sustainability, I bring integrity and innovation to every client I touch. Passion-led and purpose-fueled, I am not just creating glow — I am creating impact.

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is called Brazilian Beauty Bar, and it’s so much more than a salon — it’s a space built on clean beauty, cultural pride, and deep intention. As an esthetician and consultant for Olive Tree People, I’ve built my practice around offering 100% organic, bioactive skincare powered by hydroxytyrosol — a potent antioxidant found in the olive leaf. We’re proud to be pioneers of waterless beauty, delivering transformative results without compromise.

What sets Brazilian Beauty Bar apart is the full-service, one-stop beauty experience — something deeply inspired by my Brazilian roots. In Brazil, salons offer everything under one roof, and I’ve brought that concept to life here in the U.S. We currently offer all waxing and sugaring services for both men and women, professional brow design and mapping, brow tinting, brow henna, brow lamination, makeup for all occasions, basic blowouts, holistic facials using exclusively Oliveda products, and most recently, massage therapy — including specialized lymphatic drainage massage.

Getting here wasn’t easy. I started with a passion for makeup, teaching myself through YouTube, and trying to navigate a corporate path that never truly fit me. Motherhood deepened my awareness about the toxins in our everyday lives — from food to skincare — and that pushed me to live more consciously. I read labels. I did the research. And when it came time to choose the skincare line for my business, I looked to Europe, where over 1300 ingredients are banned from cosmetics — a stark contrast to the U.S. I chose Oliveda from Olive Tree People because it aligned with everything I believe in: purity, efficacy, and integrity.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned? Stay true to your values. Don’t rush. Don’t compromise. Building something meaningful takes time, care, and a lot of faith. My brand is a reflection of my heritage, my motherhood, my hard-earned knowledge, and my love for making people feel beautiful — not just on the outside, but in every way that matters.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Absolutely — my success is not mine alone. First and foremost, I want to dedicate my shoutout to my parents. As immigrants from Brazil, they came to this country with nothing but faith, grit, and a vision for a better future. Their sacrifices, work ethic, and unwavering belief in the American dream laid the foundation for everything I am. My dad, in particular, has always been my blueprint for perseverance — proof that hard work does pay off.

I also want to recognize the beauty community that helped raise me — the YouTube creators, makeup artists, estheticians, and skin educators who shared their knowledge so freely. As a self-taught artist, those videos were my classroom and their passion kept mine alive.

Lastly, a huge thank you to Olive Tree People. Becoming a consultant with them gave me the opportunity to align my work with something bigger — sustainability, authenticity, and innovation in beauty.

No one gets here alone. I’m standing on the shoulders of family, mentors I’ve never met, and a global beauty tribe that made me feel seen.
