We had the good fortune of connecting with Stacey Lee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stacey, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success is my drive, and ability to market myself without being in the room. I’ve had the opportunity to work with so many people based on my work ethic, and being spoken highly of by others that have had the chance to work with me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am most proud of how far I’ve come with no manager, and still being able to grow professionally in the modeling industry. The challenges I faced mostly occurred when it came to being booked for bigger gigs, and not having the biggest name for the part. I’ve learned so many lessons but the most valuable would be that “no matter how long it takes keep building because at some point you’ll outgrow where you started. -Stacey Lee”. I want the world to know that every talent you have is worth sharing with the world if GOD felt like it was worth giving you, so don’t stay comfortable always grow.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are so many gems in Detroit, I really can’t name just a few but I would for sure say we’d need to stop by Pizza Cat Max pizza & service is amazing. We would need to go to Deluxx Fluxx, and RollerCade Skating Rink. Aside from those 3, we would have to hit the DIA, and Northland Skating Rink. Those are just a few things we would do but there’s so much life in the city we’d be outside everyday of her visit.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to give a special thanks to the 4 brands I started my journey of being a brand ambassador for, Body Favors, Moods by Monet, A Divas Everything Boutique, and NiyahStyledIt. Without them taking a chance on me I would not have had as many opportunities to work with so many brands, and businesses.
