We had the good fortune of connecting with St Pierre and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi St Pierre, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success would have to be the relationships ive made through networking… I feel your network is your net worth. Other then that it would definitely have to be my Team. The dedication and hardwork they provide allows everything to run smoothly
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My wife and myself created an avenue for indie music artist to have their music played on radio in your area without the politics of the industry. We feel we have just as much talent in Louisville Ky as the much larger cities i.e. Atlanta, NY, LA etc etc…
To be honest it applied for a position as an on air radio personality without any experience. I just knew i love music and im very knowledgeable when it came to the art. Growing up i listened to everything rock, blues, hip hop, pop etc etc…. I studied it, i lived it I embraced it… The radio station brought me in for an interview but within 3 mins of the interview they seen how much knowledge is had of music they offered me a postion and my very own show… it came easy at first because everyone in our area was craving for someone to highlight the talent we have on our city. The artist seen our vision and wanted to be apart of it. With the emergence of Bryson Tiller, Jack Harlow, Est Gee into the mainstream media in away put Louisville on the map. Our area has had a few legends come from here like The great Static Major and Nappy Roots but even still with them we were overlooked until here recently.
I feel indie artist have it the hardest which is why we cater to them. We feel that art is art…. No matter what talent you have its all art…. Its your canvas to paint and who is anyone to tell anyone their art isnt worthy of being displayed. Everyone is equal in our eyes…. In today’s music popularity outshines talent…. And we look to change that…
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If i had a visitor in town the 1st place I would take them to eat would be The Drippin Crab. They have some of the best food in the city and my kid brother Chef B(Braylin Hard) has his famous cheesecakes on their menu.
If they wanted to have a drink i would take them to Virtue. Virtue is a dope venue with nice drink specials, nice vibes, safe and friendly. S/O to Tony and Devin…. They always make sure they take care of their customers and everyone has a great time. And those wings they have there are some of the best wings you will find ANYWHERE!!!
Clubs wise… Where ever my dude BHen(Bryan Hen) is having a party is the place to be… No one throws parties like him… Its always a #Lituation when we link up!
And of course we would visit the 97thebeatfm studios… Which is were i conduct all my interviews and record all of my live shows. The owner Sam is a very standup guy and welcomes everyone with open arms… He also has some of the best studio recording prices in our city.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to Shout out my wife Lakayla(Litty Red) who is my co-host on our radio show The Lituation Room502 without her pushing me to chase and follow my dreams none of any of this would have been possible, my Business Partner Bryan Hen(BHen) who put me in the party promotion game and who has become like a brother to myself. Braylin Hardin (Chef B) who is also apart of my radio team and the BEST Chef in this area! He has been with me from the beginning… My Children who are my heart soul and my world! My mom Tara Gregory and Older Sister Tarisha Calvin who has always supported me in every aspect in life! Also recognizing Jonathan Logsdon and His Climate Change Ent label for always supporting The Lituation Room502. Love you all! Thanks
