We had the good fortune of connecting with Spudds Mckenzie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Spudds, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting a business can be an exciting yet complex journey like mannnnn my thought process
would first Identifying a Need or Passion …. like what will spark your interest or pockets feel me?

Next would be Market Researching .
i feel like knowing your market
like understand the demand, competition, and potential challenges.
then to me Creating a Business Plan ,adapting then Build your brand ..
.
This process involves a lot of planning and adaptability, but it’s all aimed at creating a business
you can’t lose !

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m not an artist in the traditional sense, but I can certainly imagine what an artist might share about their work and journey

My art is deeply influenced by my unique perspective and background. I blend traditional techniques with modern themes to create pieces that resonate on multiple levels. where I Come from Art is literally Everywhere.

My journey to where I am today has been a mix of passion, hard work, and persistence. I started with Dc Young Fly, which laid the groundwork for my growth. It wasn’t always easy there were plenty of challenges such as financial and Mental set backs, but I tackled them by keeping God First & Building a network, continually refining my skills, and staying resilient in the face of setbacks were key to overcoming obstacles.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of staying true to my vision while being open to feedback. Balancing personal style with audience expectations can be tricky, but it’s crucial for growth. I’ve also learned that success often comes from perseverance and adaptability rather than immediate results.

I want people to understand that my art is more than just visual aesthetics it’s a reflection of my journey, experiences, and values. My brand is built on a foundation of authenticity and a desire to create meaningful connections through art. I hope to inspire others to find and express their own unique voice, and to appreciate the beauty in both the process and the final piece.

I’m most proud of The Big Head Series because it pushed my creative boundaries and received a wonderful response from the community. The excitement of seeing my vision come to life and connecting with people on an emotional level is incredibly fulfilling. I also love how my work has evolved over time, incorporating new ideas and techniques that keep the creative process fresh and engaging.
