Meet Spliff Dalcoe | Creative Director & Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Spliff Dalcoe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Spliff, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes is better than a master of one.

As someone who is a multi faceted creative I’ve only been told the first half of that quote. As I’ve grown I came to understand the second half of it which has only propelled me forward in my many endeavors.
I also like that as a jack of all trades people will consistently tell you to master one aspect of your talent when in reality they are scared of the idea that you/I would be able to conquer so much more by working to master all aspects of self.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art and what I present to the world is just an encapsulation of what i see it all to be. Colorful and genuine perspectives. I have always been excited just to share my vision with others and hopefully inspire them to continue creating and evolving. It has never been an easy route being a creative in Atlanta due to the beautiful volume of people that create here but that aside my vision still gets seen and appreciated which i can only be grateful for. I’ve just had to find the balance between consumerism and art because nowadays they go hand in hand. This alone has taught me so much on how to navigate this world and how to continue to let my light shine no matter what may come my way. Nothing great ever comes easy so all I can do is continue to push my narrative and my stories/vision and be fully genuine in all that I do. I want the world to know that myself & my brand are just my dreams manifested into Art and expression. I aim to inspire creativity in others and also show what all can be possible with consistency and manifestation. Life will always life take a break and create and happiness will follow.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
As a true Atlanta Native my itinerary would consist of amazing parties at places like Agenda Studios (@agendastudios) and curated events by F.K.A(@fka.atl) and ofcourse my lovely family at peters street station. Honestly the whole castleberry hill/ art district in Atlanta has everything I would need for a fun artful experience. As far as food I cant stay away from magic city wings & velvet taco!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Honestly all the credit goes to GOD and thankfully he has placed amazing people in my life to help me move forward in every step of my creative journey. Ive been blessed to work with and under so many talented creatives such as Walter Brady(@walterwbrady) & Prime Victorian(@theartofprime) and just those two alone have inspired and helped me immensely to become the creative I am today
