We had the good fortune of connecting with Solomon Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Solomon, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I think anybody that really wants anything knows that you have to take risk and not to be afraid to bet on yourself. After a year of me doing photography I came to a crossroads where I had to make some hard decisions and take some risks for me to continue on the path that I want to walk . I can say that the calculated risk that I’ve Took has put me in the position that I am in today .

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
When it comes to trying to separate yourself from the fold one thing I pride myself on is that I really have a connection with the people I work with and my goals are always centered around my clients .

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Little five points is where it’s at anytime I’m free and have some time to blow I’m digging threw records at criminal records which has a broad rang of music genres , then el bandido for some margaritas and tacos . Atlanta really has everything but when I want to take it slow I go to Piedmont park to just relax and people watch.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A big shoutout to my homeboys don & Ike when I was first starting out they where always there helping on shoots or just standing in when I needed somebody . Anybody that I’ve worked with I’m forever grateful because it really is more then just taking pictures and I really appreciate everybody letting me tell there story.
