Meet Solfulkay | Influencer & Creative Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Solfulkay and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Solfulkay, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
My choice to pursue a creative career yielded from my desire for freedom. I believe that experiences and dreams that are brought together by the collaboration of people can be so special. As we shine our own light in different creative spaces, we subconsciously give others the permission to the same. How great is that?! I was able to dabble in production and marketing while in school, so after I picked up some basic skills and knowledge I was certain that a creative career was the route I wanted to explore.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Creativity is not just a form of expression but also a form of power! As I explore more of my talents and interests, the more powerful I feel in regard to what levels of creativity I can reach. My accountability and determination is what sets me apart from other creators. Often times people will continue to do recreate things that already exist and just do it better; while this is still a great and popular form of creation we have a smaller group creators that seek to elevate and create the new. I’m all about the elevation, the next level.
I’m most excited to keep learning and networking while on this creative journey of mine. I have so many projects and collaborations that will be coming to light this year, and would like to continue building on that momentum fasho. The road to success has been far from easy. I have made a lot of progress in my creative career but still feel like I have a ways to go. I’m a homebody so becoming more comfortable with socializing and networking with other creators has yielded me my best progression this past year. I’ve learned the importance of separating business and personal plus staying consistent with your desires. Anything is literally possible and whether you think you can or you can’t, you are right.
I’m the founder of The Casual Fan brand collective and we have been working on revamping our site and platforms. There will be new merchandise releases and collaborations this season to look forward to! I’m also a co-host on most recent project, A.O. Talk Podcast! There’s so many great opportunities presenting itself and I’m just grateful for the ride.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Atlanta is probably one of the most innovative cities in the world. There’s few cities you can visit and get a hookah and 5 course meal while waiting to get your car detailed. It sounds extra, but that’s just Atlanta. If my best friend was visiting the area for the week we would for sure have to hit up Tacos and Tequilas for taco Tuesday. There are so many good taco places out here but T&T is pretty consistent. I’m my opinion, some of the best open mic nights out here happen on Wednesdays, so our next day would consist of a happy hour followed by a live show. We would also have to make time to check out the Beltline and one of the several arcade/entertainment spots in the city. By the time the weekend arrives we would have explored several new restaurants but still have room to try brunch specials at Botica on Saturday! The list of places and things to explore in Atlanta are endless, but you can ensure you will meet like minded individuals wherever you choose to experience.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
