We had the good fortune of connecting with Solfulkay and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Solfulkay, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my own business and brand has always been to help others with their personal growth. Growing up, though I had support in whatever I chose to do, asking for help was still a bit foreign. I am someone who loves a challenge and believes that I can do whatever I set my mind to, and in a way that was my superpower. As time progressed I found a love for the arts and watching projects be brought to life. With an early start in choir and theater, production has always been a love of mine and my years in school lead me to my love for communication. As a major in the Communication field, I was able to combine my knowledge for the arts with my knowledge of business development and entertainment. My journey in production yielded my personal brand and businesses. The Casual Fan and Solful Marketing were founded through being able to assist small business owners and others alike with the growth of their own brands. It is my way of sharing my superpower with those who also feel like asking for help may be a bit foreign. All services and products offered through my businesses are done so at an affordable rate. We’re here to build relationships and elevate our neighbors.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I set myself apart from others by focusing on building meaningful relationships when I network. As someone who is very protective of their energy, it is important to move genuinely when connecting with others as this could effects the longevity of clientele and overall good health. When we take the time and effort and put that into getting to know our audience and customer base, the dollar amount is of little factor. At the end of the day people invest and buy into individuals and their personal brands over the product itself. Any growth that I have received through my businesses can primarily be dedicated to simply good relationship development.

The path to success is never an easy one. There will always be challenges to overcome and hills to climb, but as I elevate myself and brand to the next level it gives me the opportunity to help the next person do the same. The term fan in The Casual Fan stands for ‘Friends of Agape Notions’. This sums up the brand and all connections in its entirety; we choose to spread light and unconditional love to people all around the world. Spreading good/positives vibes through our business and community efforts will be reciprocated as it should.

My overall goal is to let others know that it is okay to dream and bring something to life even if they feel like they lack resources. Our services and products are quality made affordable. It can and will be done, and we would love to be a stepping stone in your journey.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting the area our itinerary would look a little something like this:

Monday- Mondays are for museums, so we would visit Atlanta Contemporary Museum to check out the latest exhibits and then hit up the High Museum of Art
Tuesday- Hike the East Palisades Trail and visit the bamboo forest followed by a nice Taco Tuesday spot
Wednesday- Ponce City Market and Beltline exploration followed by sushi at RA Sushi
Thursday- Open mic night and Jazz vibes at Apache Cafe
Friday- Lunch at Restaurant 10 then a Hawks Game at the State Farm Arena
Saturday- ATV riding or Go Kart racing at Andretti followed by Movie and Food at iPic Theater ATL
Sunday – Brunch at Botica followed by vibes at Piedmont Park or a local park. Then we would end the night at Bonfire ATL

Atlanta has a growing restaurant and culture scene, so a lot of the time it is just good to get outside and explore. I come across a lot of hidden gems that way also!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my artist and fellow social influencer, Rinnzworld. As a tattoo artist, actor, repair technical and musician, Rinn is always unapologetically herself. Definitely deserving of this shoutout!
