We had the good fortune of connecting with Sofia Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sofia, what principle do you value most?
The value that is most important to me is carrying the truth into everything I do. While I am waiting for my career to pick up the way I’ve prayed for, whether I am watching a kid, making coffee for a customer, or doing an audition, I want to bring the truth of love and light in each step.
I often have to refer to;
“ Whatever you do, work at it with your whole being, for the Lord and not for men.”
Why would I do these things or use my gifts to only benefit myself when we all dream to change the world for better even if we don’t believe in God.
I value the humility in walking in light and love the way the truth teaches, so those who need it, can receive it.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an actress, writer, and storyteller! I love to combine these things and to individualize them is any way I can. Such as telling a kid a fantasy story at bedtime, or putting together a team to make a film.
I was recently in a feature film called Tableau, directed by Stuart Howes.
Furthermore I am working on a children’s book for kids in the hospital!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spot right now is the Chastain coffee shop! It reminds me of my time in Rome, and I love the environment
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shoutout God for making all in my life possible. Furthermore, my mom, dad, and boyfriend.
These three people have been such a solid rock for me in this journey to the big screen.
They just believe in me! When I am down, my mom will just say over the phone with her solid mama voice, “you’re gonna make it babe, I know it. Just keep taking one step at a time.” Then my dad will cheer in the background.
I am a high achiever, so my boyfriend helps me to remember what I have accomplished. He’ll say “What’s the gain? Get out of these gaps, look at what God had given you and how far you’ve come!”
There is a great book called “The Gap and The Gain“ by Dan Sullivan and Dr. Benjamin Hardy that Gareth made me read, and we both recommend to everyone.
