We had the good fortune of connecting with Sinclaire Hobson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sinclaire, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Honestly, Risk taking is something that drives me. I believe that as long as the reward out weights the risks it’s always worth going for. I mean I’m a gambler, I got offered an opportunity to go do what I love and work with Foolie & the Migos in Miami and dropped out of school for it and to be honest there’s not a day I regret that decision. The thing about risks is I’ll always bet on myself and on my talent whether it’s in photography, videography, or club promoting and it shows in my work, don’t get it wrong I take losses all the time but the wins definitely out weigh the losses and the losses always teach me something new so it’s basically a costly win. Hand in hand I think taking risks has made my career.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My name is Sinclaire Hobson, I’m a photographer, Videographer, & influencer that throws events/ concerts for the public in LA as well as in the AV. Something that sets me apart from other people that do what I do is the drive that I have, the work itself that I put in, and my ability to listen and learn from others. To go further in…I’m improving in almost every aspect constantly in ways of making tougher video edits come to life and throwing bigger events. I got to where I am today by being consistent, and moving strategic, I believe I got Lucky as well, and to me LUCK means Labor Under Correct Knowledge. For example when I started as a photographer, I knew that if I took photos at a popular place for wealthy people to hangout (Rodeo Drive & Glendale Galleria) that I’d eventually run into someone who would take my talents to the next level and I did. That’s what I call Labor Under Correct Knowledge or Luck. Through working with various celebrities in the music industry I’ve learned that most people aren’t really who they say you are and there’s not very many genuine people in the music industry although they will try and appear that way. I want the world to know one thing about me Sinclaire the person and the businesses I represent (rsinclaireproductions & VIP Entertainment), I will always do what I think is morally right before I act on doing what’s “business right” and that’s the difference between me & a lot of artist/business owners. For example if I see someone struggling who has talent and is working hard, I will shoot there music video for a lot cheaper sometimes because I know they just need that little extra support and a lot of people don’t think like this.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Honestly if my best friend was from out of town and came out here for a week I’d take them to one of my events first because they’re normally always fun and then I’d tap in with my boy Scoe because he’s always outside with either Trey Songz popping out to some fun club event or even if he’s not he always knows how to have a good time and he’s genuine so I trust him.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Honestly to just shout out one person wouldn’t be fair, because there’s a lot of people who’ve helped me along the way. I’d like to start off with Igbandits and Bobby Duece. Igbandits & Bobby Duece gave me a chance to photograph Bobby Duece as a paid gig which was an extremely big photo shoot at the time for me and for that I’ll always appreciate them both, may Bobby Duece rest in peace, I really appreciate those two. However shortly after I’d like to shout out my boy Lum (thelumlumiam) he’s a signed artist now but before he was signed he was pushing me like crazy. He got me countless celebrity gigs in the music industry along with Foolie and his pops Dr. Khairy X who were his managers at the time. They all helped a lot. However in the next chapter of my career what helped me think about was the people around me. These people held me up and grew with me in the music industry. Their names are Tumont, Brodeewitda40, Scoe (iamprincehaven), IllG8z, ApolloPoetic, Jacob Alexander, Katya(TattedupRussia), Melany Omar, Sona Kesh, and my Dad Harold Hobson. Finally I’d like to shout out the people in the newest part of my career…my team, S/O Melany Omar, Natalia Alvarado, Dalilah Aliaga, Don Benjamin, Big Will, Bernice, Tutie, Brandy, Tara, Sheyla Ibarra and Kingsworld661 (best clothing store in the AV).
