We had the good fortune of connecting with Sierra Price and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sierra, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Taking risks is what got me to where I am today. I NEVER thought I would be a business owner, but I took the risk and went for it head first. I knew that a 9-5 wasn’t going to get me to where I wanted to be in life so there was no other choice for me. I had no clue what I was doing, and how I was going to succeed in what I started. I continued to educate myself with as many platforms and mentorship as I possibly could because I didn’t come from a background of entrepreneurs. Without risk I wouldn’t have gotten the chance to explore such a different side of life.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Earthly Essence Travel is a full service travel company. We provide luxury accommodations, transportation, flights, car rentals, train rides, event tickets, etc. I truly started Earthly Essence Travel on a whim. I grew up traveling OFTEN! My parents made sure that I was not limited to my home town. I got out to explore so many different places, and that translated into my adulthood. People were seeing me taking trips, and started asking me for travel advice and recommendations. I was definitely wasting too much time being an unpaid travel agent! I didn’t think anything of it because I loved it so much, but a lightbulb went off in my head one day. I was having a conversation with someone about them thinking about becoming a travel agent, and I’m like “why have I never thought about this??” I looked deeper into it and just went for it. It was not easy for me at first. I knew how to book travel and do research, but it took a lot of out me to work on marketing strategies and business structure. Along the way though, I unlocked so much about myself that I didn’t know was in me. I learned that marketing is the most vital aspect of a business and you must stay creative with it to maintain clients. I want the world to know that getting a travel agent can really change the way you travel! I used to be that person to never use an agent, but now that I see how many benefits come with one I regret not using one. Earthly Essence Travel is here to make your travel life easier and create that dream vacation you deserve!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shoutout my family! They have instilled so much in me that made me into the person I used to aspire to be as a kid. I am extremely grateful for their endless support and their unconditional love. Whenever I needed advice, feedback, or just some words of encouragement I know I could count on them. They have provided so much for me, and I work so hard and take leaps of faith to be able to return the favor.
