We had the good fortune of connecting with Shuronda Booker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shuronda, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I want to be remembered being warm, leaving a beautiful presence, being the person that anyone can be their authentic self without judgement, or left feeling uneasy or uncomfortable. I want to be remembered as & positive energy shifter. I want to be remembered as a loving wife and mother.

I want to be remembered as the vault person that one person you can spill the tea with tell your vulnerabilities, and unseen success and they know that it stays safe. I want to be remembered as the crown fixer as a woman or man crown may tilt I will help them straighten it with grace.

In business I want to be remembered for building top tier teams and unbreakable leaders. I want to be remembered as the wolf that leads the pack from the back! Seeing all danger before it arrives and knows how to win battles gracefully. Most of all I want to be remembered as a Godfearing woman, for nothing is possible without him and all that I have accomplished is because of him.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a Career Strategist I help ambitious professionals become The Perfect Professional in any industry.

With over 15 years of leadership in banking and hospitality, I understand what it takes to thrive behind the scenes and beyond the résumé. From interview prep to executive presence, I’ve helped countless individuals step confidently into new opportunities with clarity and confidence.

I work closely with clients to:
• Identify their strengths, interests, and values
• Define meaningful career goals
• Create strategic, step-by-step career roadmaps
• Elevate their professional image through powerful resumes, interview prep, and networking guidance
• Navigate transitions with clarity — whether it’s a promotion, pivot, or new industry entirely

I’m here to help you show up with purpose, polish, and power.
I began my professional journey at SunTrust Bank’s Executive Park branch in Atlanta, Georgia, serving as a Client Service Specialist and mastering every detail of teller operations and client experience.

At age 22, I transitioned into hospitality with Hilton Hotels in Atlanta, starting as a Front Desk Associate. Driven by curiosity and a love of service, I rotated through departments, absorbing best practices across the property. That momentum led to a promotion to Front Office Manager, and from that moment the sky felt limitless. Over the next decade I advanced through the ranks—Sales Coordinator, Sales Manager, Assistant General Manager, and ultimately General Manager—gaining a 360-degree view of hotel operations.

Challenge is constant; mindset is everything. Anything worth having rarely comes easy, so I meet obstacles with optimism and a hunger to learn.

Be easy to work with. Approach every collaboration with humility, flexibility, and empathy—my quiet super-power for navigating tough situations.

Leave it better than you found it. Whether a team, a process, or a property, improvement is my non-negotiable.

Hard work, dedication, honesty, and strong professional relationships open doors no one can shut. Knowledge sticks; once learned, it becomes part of your DNA. With 15 + years in banking and hospitality—and an insider’s view of top-tier leadership—I’m committed to helping others grow into Perfect Professionals and to elevating every environment I touch. My superpower is building, top-tier teams, and unbreakable leaders.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Monday

We’re kicking things off with one of my favorite tourist attractions Downtown Atlanta — The World of Coca-Cola! After sipping on flavors from around the world, we’ll take in the views on the SkyView Ferris Wheel. And of course, we can’t visit Atlanta without a stop at The Varsity — “What’ll ya have?”

Tuesday

We’re heading to Camp Creek Marketplace in East Point for a little retail therapy, then sliding over to The U Bar for cocktails, crab claws, and those iconic fried green tomatoes. Vibes? Immaculate.

Wednesday

Time to slow things down with a peaceful day at the Atlanta Botanical Garden — a gorgeous space to reset, recharge, and admire nature’s beauty.

Thursday

A day of history and culture begins at the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park, followed by exploring Ponce City Market — shopping, dining, rooftop views… the works!

Friday

We’re off to Southern Belle Farm for fresh fruit picking and down-home fun. Strawberries, peaches, or whatever’s in season — plus family-friendly activities to enjoy.

Saturday

Let’s turn up the adrenaline with ATVs and laser tag at Cloverland! Get ready for some good, messy, high-energy fun.

Sunday

We’re ending the week in style — dressed to the nines for a classic tea around town. Then closing it all out with a spicy, soul-satisfying meal at Hattie B’s Hot Chicken. Perfection!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely—my amazing husband, Donavan Booker.

He has been by my side for the past 13 years, and we’ve been married for 12 of them. From the very beginning, he has been the jumpstart to my career—standing with me through every high and low. Every step of the way, he’s prayed for me, encouraged me, and been my confidant in every decision. He is not only a devoted husband and loving father to our son he’s truly my best friend. I wouldn’t be who I am or where I am today without him being part of my story.
