We had the good fortune of connecting with Sherri Shropshire and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sherri, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process was that we needed to provide services and education to our community regarding Health and Wellness. Many of us are not aware of the healing powers of fruits, vegetables and herbs and what they can do for our bodies on a more holistic level. I developed Sherri’s Berries so that I may be able to educate my clients on the simple lifestyle changes that will help to assist with certain underlying health concerns and how we have the power to naturally heal and assist the body when it is going through these types of changes.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My current professional hat is a CDL Truck driver. I love to drive but I love Health and Wellness more, the feedback that I receive from helping others is what keeps me going. I take the time to study and break down the chemical compounds of fruits, vegetables and herbs with that, I am able to inform my clients on the type of juices, smoothies and our other products that may be able to assist with diabetes, asthma, psoriasis, high blood pressure, hair loss, reproductive health, cardiovascular health and any other health concerns that they may have. I’m most proud of how I have been able to maintain Sherri’s Berries service and education while maintaining my daily life and work. Developing new ways of delivering the educational content has its challenges but, the more we produce the content the easier it becomes. 10 yrs ago I lost my mother and my grandmother to Lupus and Duodenal Cancer, I had no idea what the doctors were saying or what could have been done to save their lives. I took that hurt and developed a love for Health and Wellness over the years, God made sure to put the correct individuals in my path and showed me the way. At the age of 31 is when I decided to create my company and dive deeper into what the triggers and causes were for underlying health concerns and the positive affects of diet change and how it could add years to our lives. The two things that would have saved my mother and grandmother were a less stressful environment, actively moving on a daily basis and the proper diet and nutritional habits. My positive quote to the world is to Be Healthy and Be Rich, take care of your body and your body will take care of you.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Nouveau at broad Street is pretty dope on a Friday or Saturday night, the food is great, they have good drinks and its always a pretty good crowd. Tacos and Tequila is another spot I love to visit with my friends and if you like to bowl and have a good time then Bowlero in Atlantic Station is dope as well.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to acknowledge my mentor Yvette Tucker, she has always told me never to give up even when it gets hard, keep God first in everything that you do, all money isn’t good money so be careful from whom you accept and work hard but play harder. We always speak about mental health and how we have to get ourselves right before we can do anything for anyone else. I made a huge decision to move away from my hometown in Atlanta and start a fresh life over in Texas and it has been the best decision that I have made for myself. I’ve been able to create different ideas and educational material to introduce to my clients and the Health and Wellness community.
