We had the good fortune of connecting with She’Nia Sample and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi She’Nia, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
God is the most important factor within my success and my brand, because I don’t move until he tells me to. When I am told to do so, I move with confidence, as if it’s already mine. It’s all apart of manifesting God’s promises, which are set in stone.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
For starters, my name is She’Nia Sample , I am 20 years old, and I am just a regular woman from Memphis, TN following God’s path he has ordained for me. Of course I want to be acknowledged for my gifts and talents because I do work hard, but I want to be viewed by my character and my heart first. It’s easy to get wrapped up into the industry and labeling, but I find staying true to myself more important than anything. This journey has not been easy in any way, shape or form. I still haven’t processed what’s in the works, so far for me. Everyday I’m learning and growing and I still stop & say “wow how am I doing this.” I tell others not to praise me, because I’m not really sure how this has even happened for me, so let’s give you insight. As stated, this was always apart of me. I would walk around the house saying “I’m not normal I just can’t be normal.” I had a leadership position in everything I’ve done, even if I didn’t want it, it was granted to me. My siblings & I would watch the same movies so much that we’ll recite them word for word on a daily basis, and whenever a familiar situation happens that fits the movie, we would go right into script again. My father was obsessed with horror movies, books, music, and the gift of knowledge overall. So, I became interested in mimicking what I saw before me and what it took to portray the story, the audience was enjoying. I loved Hannah Montana and I would sing her songs all day long, telling my family that I will be famous. At the age of 3, I was diagnosed with leukemia and I attended St.Jude Children’s Research Hospital. I was very shy and I refused to take pictures, because of my hair falling out as a side effect of chemotherapy. During this time, every child in the hospital was given an opportunity to model for Bernice Mac, surprisingly I participated. Every photo was reviewed and I was chosen to fly to LA and do a commercial with him. Unfortunately, that opportunity wasn’t taken and it started from there. I then knew that I was destined for something and that I had a purpose, because God allowed me to be a survivor. I’ve been cooking as long as I can remember and my mom always desired a food truck. Everyone told me to be a chef but I was also interested in the entertainment field, so I knew I wouldn’t be consistent. I had opportunities to compete in popular cooking shows ( kids edition) and auditions for the most popular kids/teen networks. I was still finding myself, so I didn’t go through with anything. I used me being chosen as personal confirmation that I have what it takes, but I had to grow into myself to be sure this is what I wanted, before taking any steps further. Now that we’ve gotten a little background info, Let’s fast forward to how I got here now. I went through a lot during 2022 and God was calling me to separate, in order to prepare for my elevation. During this time, I stayed focused. I strongly believe in fasting & sacrificing, in order to showcase your level of obedience and prove how bad you want it. I had my own goals and dreams, but I allowed God to speak to me because his plan is always greater. He gave me a vision and I decided to set a goal. I said I will have my first renewed opportunity, by my birthday which is December 9th, 2002. I made sure I wrote these visions down because when it is written, it is accepted and confirmed. I indeed had my first acting job before my birthday, December 7th, I was on the road to Atlanta and officially filming bright & early on December 12th. Since then, everything started rolling really fast and everytime I would come to Atlanta for one job, I would always extend my stay, which caused me to make the decision to move permanently, because this is home.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The great thing about living in Atlanta is always being able to try something new. Boredom doesn’t exist in this city because everyday there’s some kind of event, networking opportunity, party, and sleeping is an afterthought. I would take them places such as the Trap Music Museum, IPIC Theater, Illuminarium, Cascade skating rink, Mall of Georgia, World of Coca-Cola Museum, etc. We would eat at places like the Sugar Factory, The Bando, Frost Bistro, Truett’s Luau Chick-Fil-A, and more. We would also find places by the day and I would connect them with some of the greatest people I’ve met here, because that’s just how influential Atlanta is.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Honestly, I can say that the vision came from within. Naturally, I’ve always been drawn to the fields I am currently in. As a child, I’ve done modeling projects and received casting gigs starting at the age of 3, cooking was second nature so I never considered it a talent, and there’s much more that I can mention. I was apart of a household that was full of hidden talents and successful opportunities, so it’s something that’s always been apart of me. With that being said, there are several people that helped me ignite my dream in minor and major ways. From simply giving words of encouragement to reaching out to me, for business endeavors. I can’t name them all, because nothing goes unnoticed. Every step is important, when on the road to success, and all are appreciated for their contribution to anything pertaining to my career. Friends, family, and many I’ve met along the way, know who they are and will always be honored.
