We had the good fortune of connecting with Shelby Osborne and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shelby, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Getting up early even on your day off

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think what sets me apart from others mostly is that I dabble in almost everything. From drawing with graphite powder and charcoal powder to art on canvas with acrylic paints to designing, Logos and Graphic art, to creating custom Funko pops, Bling Tumblers , 3-D tumblers, and custom, varsity and bomber jackets. Custom purses as well. The list goes on and it expands every few months. I introduced myself to something new that I’ve never tried before. It’s like my own way of challenging myself.

It wasn’t easy. I basically had to do the research and figure everything out with trial and error. Starting things from the ground up with little to no money. Looking for hand-me-downs, or bargains to purchase equipment and supplies. I made the best of it. Basically what I would do was I had research everything whether it was how to do something, how to make something, what materials went with other materials, what glues work best. I spent a lot of funds trying to figure things out and finally perfecting them until it worked out.

What do I want the world to know about me and my brand and my story? That is a tough question because I normally do not like talking about myself or bragging about myself but I just want everyone to know how hard I worked and how hard I tried to be the best of me possible. I have always had it in me. The drive and determination, but it took a solid partner behind me, or beside me to help me flourish. I want the world to know how dope I am, and I don’t like to brag about myself as I said before, but I want everyone to know just how absolutely insanely dope I am when it comes to my art and my craft. This is only the beginning for Living Legends Custom Designs.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Number one I would take them to my fiancé and my favorite spot which is a Japanese restaurant in Chinatown called Ajisen Ramen. At this place, you can get everything from sushi to authentic made ramen.

Next, I’d probably take them to one of my favorite spots in Brooklyn. Brooklyn Bridge Park, where you would see a wide view of the New York City skyline of downtown Manhattan and the Brooklyn bridge. We would be able to make a day of it by picnicking in the park, walking along the water and just enjoying the views.

Because I consider myself to be a little bit of a nerd and gamer, I’d take them to an arcade. My fiancé and I go for a date night sometimes at Immersive Gamebox. It’s basically an interactive gaming place. Another gaming place that we go to is the Chinatown fair arcade, where there is a mixture of classic and new games.

Another favorite eatery, that we go to is Chelsea market. There you’d find a variety of places to eat and places to just go and hang out.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mom who passed away is and will forever be my inspiration and my fiancé and soon to be husband Michael. He’s pushed me to be better everyday and reminds me of how great I am every chance he gets. He’s the reason I’ve come this far.
