We had the good fortune of connecting with Shaunique Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shaunique, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
As I have gotten older and understood the value of legacy, I realized that what I do here on Earth is about the generations I’m called to and the ones that will come from and after me. I would love to leave a legacy of wealth. Wealth in terms of enjoying life to the fullest. Enjoying those who I love dearly, being a great resource to others in need, and loving people the correct way. In the past I have struggled with how people perceive me so I chose this question to challenge my fear. I would want people to remember that I am human so it made me a humanitarian. I want people to remember that I feel, so I sympathize and empathize well. I want people to remember that I’ve made mistakes so judgment doesn’t live here. I want people to remember that standing up was the best decision I made when my thoughts and fears tried to talk me out of success. I want people to remember that my faith elevated when I was hurt the most. I want people to remember that I have a huge heart, so I love hard and well. Most importantly I want people to remember that without God, I wouldn’t be here today to tell you about how I want to be remembered. Just remember me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As I creative, my biggest challenge was confidence and comparison. I had to conquer comparison with other people in order to be very confident in who I was created to be. That has been what I am most proud of within myself. Honestly when I made the decision to conquer that it elevated me in my business. It wasn’t an easy thing to do and everyday I strive to be better and more confident. I want the world to know that I style from the inside out. My goal is for you to know that clothing can be a mask but real style exudes confidence and I strive to make you feel that way through the art of fashion and style.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Hey bestfriiieeeennddddd! I’m so glad you’re here! I’d love to take you to the Virginia Highlands area to grab some great food and ride bikes on the beltline.
