We had the good fortune of connecting with Shatora Ladorne and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shatora, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
Giving everything I’ve got to put action behind a dream has probably been the most important thing. Being able to show my kids what tenacity, perseverance, and endurance look like has not only sparked the Entrepreneur bug in them but has also created a set of values and morals within them that I couldn’t have just taught. They had to see it.
What should our readers know about your business?
I have rewired the process to help entrepreneurs get started and launch their businesses right the first time. Finding clarity on “what I do”, who is the target customer, how production/inventory works, what’s cash flow, how to get clients/ customers, how to balance home etc., were all foundational things that I needed to get started. The belief that I could do it and how to build a brand was another.
While building a “Badass Business Plan, I also personally develop my clients to become who they need to be in order to handle being a new business owner.
Most entrepreneurs start in one area and as we continue on the journey we change based on our passions; maybe we found another niche within our niche and have had to start over more times than what we are proud of. I believe that having this unique foundation set allows for there to be some consistency as things contiunue to change and grow in our business.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely take them to Slutty Vegan ATL then Scoops in Covington! I would take them to a live recording of the Social Proof Podcast, visit Stone Mountain, walk the Beltine, experience Illuminarium, and visit Candytopia. We’d go to downtown Atlanta and check out the night life and resturants as well.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There is a web of people who have helped me travel along this “Yellow Brick Road”. I knew I had the bricks, I just didn’t know how to lay them. At every stage of my growth and sometimes directly or indirectly, God has placed someone in my path to teach me the next thing I needed to know. In an attempt to keep it brief I will list a few names and you all know the essential parts you have played. My mother first, for everything I am and everything I am not. My step-dad, Vermonica Hayes my best friend, Kay Thomas, Dr. Sue Carter-Collins, Eric Thomas, Nicky Saunders, David Shands, and Velisa Wright. To those that have taught me lessons, by their words or their actions that may not have even been directed towards me, I thank you for the part you didn’t know you played. There are so many more, and I am grateful for you all.
