We had the good fortune of connecting with Shatima Lewis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shatima, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I first started my business, my thought process was to try to channel different energy. I suffered from a lot of anger and I felt a lot of love, and I didn’t know how to share that until I stepped in the kitchen. Cooking was the way I was able to express my positive feelings without my words being misconstrued.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At Restaurant 2131, we are truly passionate about providing a unique and exceptional dining experience that sets us apart from others. What we are most proud of is our commitment to delivering high-quality food, impeccable service, and a warm and inviting atmosphere.

We believe that what sets us apart is our attention to detail in every aspect of our restaurant. From carefully curated menus that showcase the finest ingredients to our knowledgeable and attentive staff who go above and beyond to ensure every guest has a memorable experience, we strive for perfection in every dish and every interaction.

Getting to where we are today in the business world was not easy. We faced numerous challenges along the way, but we overcame them through perseverance, adaptability, and a strong belief in our vision. We embraced change, listened to feedback from our customers, and constantly innovated to stay ahead of the competition.

The lessons we’ve learned on this journey are invaluable. We’ve learned the importance of staying true to our core values, maintaining consistent quality, and staying connected with our customers. We’ve also learned that challenges are opportunities for growth and that success comes from hard work, dedication, and a passion for what we do.

Our brand and story are rooted in our love for food, hospitality, and creating memorable experiences. We want the world to know that we are more than just a restaurant – we are a destination where people can come together, celebrate, and indulge in exceptional culinary delights. Our commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and passion for hospitality shine through in every aspect of our brand.

We invite you to join us at Restaurant 2131 and experience the passion and excellence that sets us apart. Come and discover why we are so proud of what we have created and why we continue to strive for greatness every day.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes, I would definitely like to thank My Husband Micah Lewis who is one of my biggest supporters and inspiration behind believing in this dream. I would also like to thank my Ugly Money podcast family for giving me the platform to share my passion and believing in my vision
