We had the good fortune of connecting with Shantobia Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shantobia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process was what are some issues and concerns that the girls have when it comes to buying hair. So I wrote down everything that matters to me and things that matter to them and I decided to pin point those things. My question to myself was “how can I start a hair business to that fits every want and need that a women is looking for when buying hair?”.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work story is working a 9-5 full time job. I’m proud that I push myself to go harder so I don’t have to continue to work for someone else and to just fully focus on my brand. I’m still pushing to get to that point and yes it’s hard because I’m not always consistent, I get distracted and I’m also a mom. I learned that you’ll have a lot of down falls, good, and bad days but it knowing what I want in life is what keeps me going. I want the world to know that one day I’m going to become the women that I knew I could always become and I’m not letting up until the world know my brand and my name.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in the small town of Snow Hill, North Carolina. It’s not to much here to have the best time ever lol but I would consider taking my friend to a city near and that would be Charlotte, Nc. I would take them to Mert’s Heart and Soul which a nice soul food restaurant, for drinks and to hang ouT recommend STATS.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shoutout all the ladies that supported me in the beginning and trusted me with something that’s very important to them.
