We had the good fortune of connecting with Shannon Poshe Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shannon, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My business helps people turn their trauma into triumph, by helping them to write and publish books that create more impact in the world. Helping people to turn their pain into power by sharing their story and in return helping humanity. I started my business as a result of writing my own book and sharing my story. Due to the great response, people started to seek me out in order for me to help them to write their books as well .

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
From sliding down poles to healing souls is how my story began. My story is what sets me apart, and why my clients choose me over my competitors. To know that they can tell their story, powerfully and authentically, changes their lives.

To be able to share it with the world, and have the support and accountability that my company provides, while not feeling judged, is what separates us from any other publishing company in the industry.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came and wanted to hang out, I would first take them to Yebo Beach Haus, they have the best lamb chops and lemon drops in Atlanta.

We would have to hit up Breakfast At Barney’s, for brunch, then visit the Garden Room for dinner, drinks, and ambience.

We can’t forget about Phipps Plaza for shopping.

These are some of my favorite places in Atlanta. Also, if they haven’t already, we must definitely go to the King center, and visit the resting place of MLK and his wife Coretta Scott King. I would also hit up the civil rights museum, and Ebenezer Baptist Church for some history.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank GOD, as he is the head of my life, and has provided so many blessings. I’d also like to thank Shaun Bailey, may he rest in heavenly peace. Also my mother Brenda and my 3 beautiful children, you guys have saved me more than you know. Thanks!
