Meet Shani Tené | Christian Money Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Shani Tené and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shani, what’s one piece of conventional advice that you disagree with?
One piece of conventional advice I completely disagree with is the idea that you have to ‘play it safe’ with your money or wait until you have it all figured out to start building wealth. So many people are taught to avoid risk at all costs or to only invest when they feel ‘ready.’ But the truth is, God calls us to be good stewards of what we have, and that often means taking bold, faith-filled steps, even small ones, toward financial freedom. You don’t have to wait until everything is perfect, and you don’t have to choose between giving, saving, investing, paying off debt, and living within your means. You can do them all at the same time with the right plan. This is exactly what I teach through my framework, The Eternal Wealth Pyramid. Waiting for perfection or following the crowd keeps people stuck, but intentional action guided by faith is how real financial transformation happens

What should our readers know about your business?
My business, COACHLINE, was born out of a personal season of loss. After being laid off, I felt like I had lost it all, financially, professionally, and emotionally. But through that season, God taught me that putting Him first in every area of life is non-negotiable. As I leaned into my faith, sought His guidance, and trusted His provision, I began to rebuild not just my finances, but my confidence and purpose.
I went from being too ashamed to open a bill to paying off over $200,000 in debt, growing my savings and stock portfolio to $300,000 in just three years, purchasing my first home, and today stewarding over $1 million in assets, all built with God’s guidance and biblical principles.
Now, I help everyday believers who want to break free from debt, build wealth, and live purposefully without compromising their faith. I am not just a money coach, I am a sister in Christ who has walked the valley and now walks with others into financial freedom and Kingdom purpose.
What sets COACHLINE apart is my framework, the Eternal Wealth Pyramid. It focuses on healing your money story, shifting your mindset, and applying practical strategies like budgeting, investing, saving, and giving, all aligned with biblical principles. I do not just teach numbers, I teach transformation, giving clients clarity, confidence, and actionable steps to grow wealth while honoring God.
Through one-on-one coaching, group programs, and the 10K Kingdom community, I guide clients in creating financial plans that support their goals, faith, and legacy. Getting here was not easy. I had to step out in faith, experiment with different strategies, and face moments of doubt. Those challenges taught me resilience, creativity, the importance of mentors and a supportive community, and most importantly, the power of trusting God through uncertainty.
I am most proud of the impact my clients have experienced. Many come in feeling overwhelmed, stuck in debt, or living paycheck to paycheck, and leave empowered with a plan, confidence, and a renewed mindset about money. Watching them not only reach financial goals but also grow spiritually brings me joy daily.
I am most excited about 10K Kingdom, a financial discipleship community helping believers build wealth, generosity, and legacy together. It is a space where people can learn, grow, and implement faith-based financial strategies with support, accountability, and encouragement. This community brings together all the businesses and ideas I have created, creating a space where people can truly thrive financially and spiritually.
In addition, I host the Eternal Wealth Podcast, where I share practical money strategies, biblical insights, and inspiring stories to help believers take bold, faith-filled steps toward financial freedom. The podcast is a way to reach more people and provide consistent guidance and encouragement, no matter where they are on their financial journey.
The biggest lesson I have learned is that money is never just about money, it is about mindset, habits, and faith. When people shift how they see money, everything changes. One of my favorite verses, Matthew 6:21, speaks to this clearly, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
What I want the world to know about me and my business is this, we are here to break cycles. I believe God has called me to raise up financial curse-breakers in families, people who will save, invest, give, and create wealth that lasts for generations. My story is not just about me, it is about empowering others to live in freedom and abundance the way God intended. Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting Atlanta for a week, here’s how I’d make sure they had the best time ever. Just a warning, I used to be a project manager, so when it comes to planning, be careful what you ask for!
Sunday: Start with church at The Faith Center; uplifting and energizing. Brunch afterwards at South City Kitchen for classic Southern cuisine.
Monday: Morning hike at Stone Mountain or Sweetwater Creek State Park for scenic views. Afternoon coffee at Dancing Goats or Condessa Coffee, then explore Ponce City Market for shopping, local eats, and rooftop views. Evening live music at The Tabernacle or Variety Playhouse.
Tuesday: Arts day! Visit the High Museum of Art, then stroll along the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail to see murals and public art. Lunch at Ecco. Evening rooftop drinks at SkyLounge.
Wednesday: Outdoor adventure: kayaking on the Chattahoochee River or hiking Arabia Mountain. Dinner at Gunshow for a chef-driven foodie experience.
Thursday: Foodie and fun day! Brunch at The Optimist, then check out Krog Street Market. Evening bowling and casual fun at Lucky Strike Bowling at Atlantic Station.
Friday: Explore Little Five Points, eclectic shops, street art, and coffee stops. Finish the day with a sunset walk and light bites at Piedmont Park.
Saturday: Cap the week with fine dining at Staplehouse or Aria, celebrating a week full of faith, adventure, art, music, and amazing food.
By the end of the week, they’d experience a perfect mix of everything Atlanta has to offer, all meticulously planned (thanks to my project management days) so every moment counts!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a shoutout to my church community and mentors who have guided me in both faith and finance. Their wisdom and encouragement shaped not just how I manage money, but how I view abundance and purpose. I also want to recognize my clients, who inspire me every day as they take bold, faith-driven steps toward financial freedom. And of course, my family and friends who have put up with all my crazy ideas, reviewed every plan, and supported me through every step. Your love, patience, and feedback have been invaluable. None of this happens in isolation, and I’m deeply grateful for everyone who’s poured into me and trusted me to walk with them on this journey. And above all, the most important shoutout goes to God for His guidance, provision, and purpose in every step.
