We had the good fortune of connecting with Shameia Crawford and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shameia, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
I believe life is about discovering what BALANCE looks like in each Season. There will be times when you have to really put your head down and LOCK IN to get desired results. You have to take moments to do a few hours of Down time or a Staycation for a few days, or do a Work-Vacation. Other times you will have worked yourself into a great sense of Balance and Freedom!

Either way you have to discover what is Comfortable for you and your family Mentally. The work definitely doesn’t Self-Complete. I wish there was a magical button that did all the work for you. Until one is invented, do what gets you the results and allows you to take Breathers until the work affords you the True Balance you deserve!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a Jingle Writer! Whenever I tell people that it always strikes up conversation. I make cool songs for brands & businesses that make people want to learn more and buy into what they are listening to! I sing everything with Great conviction.

I have created Jingles for HBO/Max for their “Scene in Black Campaign”, Viral Comedian Nate Jackson for his current Sold out Tour “Super Funny World Tour” & His Past tour.. I have created Jingles for Media companies, Clothing boutiques, Accident Attorneys, Small Business Insurance Companies, & Radio shows. This is one of my coolest jobs that I have created for myself and have always wanted to Fully LIVE OUT!

I created a Song for Amazon back in 2020 & posted online while holding Boxes. I sung about my addiction to the Site! It went Viral and I’m still Manifesting the day that Amazon picks it up! This exposure online got my business popping and attracted business owners all around the world who know me as ‘THE JINGLE GIRL’.. I have created songs about many things that have become my Calling Card to attract clients!

The Lessons I have learned have just been to take a Chance on myself every time!! Even when feelings of Inadequacy or Comparisons try to beat me up. I have learned to quickly relinquish those emotions and remain Consistent in my efforts. There are times that I might not have a client for a Month or 2 but often times it’s a Set up for landing a Big Client. My Jingle Journey’s just getting started. I’m looking to take on TV show themes and Major Brands to keep songs stuck in consumers heads and generate lucrative Sales for decades to come!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Listen!! First of allll, I am a HOME BODY lol! However I am a Sucker for Fresh ingredients, Great Customer Service & Great Inexpensive Parking! For starters.. we would go to Ponce City Market. The parking prices are GRRRREAT! They have a good variety of things to do there and many food options. I haven’t really gotten a chance to Dine there but I have been there for Events and Explorational trips and the Vibes are Everything & you get Your Steps in too!

Also there are options to see Live shows and check out Local Shops. You could make a Full Day over there.

Next of Course.. check out the Mall. I prefer Perimeter and Lazy Dog is a restaurant my family and I discovered over Spring break that I really enjoy.

Atlantic Station is another area I would take some folks.. they have really built that area up to be pretty cool. The Illusion Museum is cool and they are forever building New exhibits and the Live Events are nice. Hob Nob is also on list of a Yummy Place to Dine.

We would see a show at the Puppetry Museum around the corner. The Museum is really cool and the Shows are great! You get to explore the history of Puppets on Screen from Behind the Scenes. There are many displays from Sesame Street to Characters from Food Commercials.

The Dekalb Farmers Market is always on the list.. it’s huge and you have a variety of Grocery items, internationally to locally sourced.. It’s freezing so wear a jacket but THE DESSERTS are DELICIOUSSS, Made In House and in ingredients are from inside of the store and made from Scratch!! I’m a fan I’m a fan I’m a fan for over 13 years!!

I’m pretty basic! I love a Good Mexican Restaurant & Pho spot. I haven’t found MY FAVORITES YET!! Give me a little more time to work on checking them out!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I definitely can contribute a host of Motivational Sermons and Speeches to motivating me to keep going. Anything books by Joel Osteen are great to Elevate your Mind Gratitude and Positive thinking. Myron Golden is great to listen to.. The 12 week year is a great for Focus and being productive strategically. Motivational quote cards and laughing as often as possible have also helped me, and celebrating Victories Big & Small.
