Meet Shambria Davis | Author, Content Creator, & Passionate Influencer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Shambria Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shambria, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand, “When Passion Speaks” is undeniably God. Yes, yes, I know, it may seem so cliché but it’s the honest truth! I would not be where I am today without having God at the center of my life. Although my brand is captured primarily on social media (I.e. Instagram and Facebook), the many encounters/conversations I have with my #PassionateGuest always reminds me that God is in complete control of my current and future successes. Prime example, I launched When Passion Speaks, a social media series that allows guests to speak their passion and extend advice to all viewers/listeners, in June 2020 during the rise of COVID-19. Despite some trial and error, WPS has recorded over 25 episodes with over 30 guests to date. Furthermore, God has allowed people to inquire about being a guest WPS as well as accepting invitation to be a part, (I.e. rising actors, models, fitness influencers and many more). I could not nor cannot do any of this with God! It is because of God that people with over 10,000+ followers are agreeing to be on WPS (free of charge). It is because of God that when I have reached out to people, there have been more “yes'” than “no’s.” It is because of God that WPS is reaching the timelines/discover pages of people I have never met. It is because of God that I have been afforded the opportunity to answer this question for ShoutOutAtlanta! So, as you see, I can go on and on about God. Therefore, I’d end with this: God has, is, and will forever be the MOST important factor behind any and all of my successes and the successes of my current and future brands.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Ok. So, I honestly tend to shy away from calling myself a creative. I guess because when I think of a creative/artist, I think of a poet, director, painter, etc. However, I must admit I am indeed a social media Content Creator/Producer (sounds weird even typing it lol).
What sets me and my brand, When Passion Speaks “WPS” a part from other interview segments/lives is the fact that WPS is more than just a series, it’s Conversations, it’s Liberation, and it’s a Movement…Unapologetically! Though God-centered, WPS creates a safe space for Passionate Guests to Speak Their Passion authentically.
I am most proud of the wisdom and encouragement people are recieving when they tune into WPS. It does my heart wonders to read comments/DMs from people saying how WPS or this particular guest has really blessed them. In addition, the realness that takes place during these lives are undeniable. People have a way of only showing their successes on social media. While that is great, we must be honest that everything shared on social media is not always what it seems. Therefore, WPS taps into real life conversations/struggles people may have in order to provide a sense of hope and freedom for others.
I am still working towards developing myself and WPS professionally. However, I will say it has not been an easy road creating WPS but it has been fulfilling which helps with overcoming very minor challenges (I.e. lack of support from people I thought would support, unanswered responses to invitations, creating more content, etc.)
The lessons I’ve learned and still learning are to keep God first, remain focused on myself and those who truly support me and WPS, maintain a pure heart, and do not compromise my platform to try and conform to other social media series.
What I want the world to know about Sham D, my story, and my brand is that I am simply an imperfect being who, despite my mess, flaws, and mistake, is allowing God to use her to reach others and is striving to create a legacy that will positively impact others.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The city is constantly evolving; therefore, I can’t just pinpoint certain places. However, I would take my girlfriends to this place called Tassili’s Raw Reality Cafe located in Atlanta because the cafe is small yet provides a very afrocentric ambience where some of the most amazing vegan food is served. Overall, I’d create a week long trip of just us trying new things and exploring new places/business using google lol:)

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Wow! I wish I could name every single person; however, I do not want to miss anybody. Therefore, I’d like to extend shoutouts to everyone (i.e. close family members, friends, significant other, etc.) who genuinely believes in me, supports me, and sincerely are rooting/praying for me and my success. Whether we talk everyday or not, just know your support goes unnoticed and for that, I will forever cherish you. O ya, I cannot forget my two guardian angels, Sampson Davis (my father) and Annie Will Ray (my godmother).
