We had the good fortune of connecting with Shalonte Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shalonte, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
My life is a true depiction of ‘No risk, no Gain’ belief. I have always been of the mindset that the bigger the risk, the bigger the reward. Life is short—yet many of us spend time wondering what we should do with our lives rather than actually going out there and trying. As hockey legend Wayne Gretzky once said, “You miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take.” It’s important to actually strike out and follow your heart—even if the odds do not seem to be in your favor. That’s the beauty of life. We never know what can happen unless we take a chance. But beyond the external opportunities and recognition risk-taking can bring, it also provides an opportunity for internal growth.

Daring actions and bold steps have been the foundation of my decision-making since early in my life when I chose to be a young mom and embraced the charm of early motherhood. Later in life, I had the most challenging time, losing my hard-earned fashion boutique and felt the pinch. But, soon I took back control of my life and started my new business of shoe-shop. Initially, I started out as a shoe-reseller, selling the same boring shoes as everybody else. What made me stop this is my desire to stand out and create something that nobody is selling and, of course, the ability to take risks. Hence, I launched my own heels brand, Arrogant Queen, for all those badass queens who want to be at their best when wearing their too classy heels and reach the style highs.

It is a true representation of my long-held obsession for heels and the bold persona I carry. With an intent to promote the idea of “High heels make a woman 25% more dominant, 50% more self-secure and 100% sexier,’ I design maddeningly attractive and classy heels for all the women out there whose confidence lies in what shoes they wear. In short, with this shoe brand, I am making confidence in women VIRAL!

What should our readers know about your business?
I have been designing maddeningly attractive and classy heels for all the women out there whose confidence lies in what shoes they wear. Initially, I started out as a shoes-reseller, selling the same boring Shoes as everybody else. What made me stop this is my desire to Stand-out and create something that nobody is selling. Hence, I Launched my own heels brand, Arrogant Queen, for all those Badass queens who want to be at their best when wearing my Extremely classy heels and reach the style highs.
