Meet Shakarra Archie

We had the good fortune of connecting with Shakarra Archie and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shakarra, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
For me, I know when to keep going because I have already survived too much to quit now. I have faced setbacks, heartbreak, betrayal, and loss, but I did not let those moments define me. They shaped me, they made me stronger, and they taught me lessons I can carry into the next season of my life. I only think about giving up when something no longer serves my peace, my growth, or my purpose. If it is draining me, blocking my spirit, or pulling me away from who I know I am, I release it. If it is hard but still aligned with my vision and my calling, I push through. I listen to God, I check in with my spirit, and I trust the strength that got me this far.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business started with nothing more than a vision, some determination, and a belief that I could turn my creativity into something bigger than me. In a little under two years, I’ve shipped over 10,000 orders across the nation and even internationally. That still amazes me because every box that went out carried not just cookies, but a piece of my story and my grind.
What sets me apart is that I don’t just sell a product, I create an experience. From gourmet cookies in dozens of unique flavors, to my transition into beauty and lifestyle products, everything I put out has my personal touch and authenticity. I’m proud that I stayed true to myself and built my brand with my own hands, my own recipes, and my own creative vision.
It was far from easy. There were nights I baked until the sun came up, days where orders piled higher than I thought I could handle, and moments where quitting would have been easier. I overcame those challenges through faith, prayer, consistency, and reminding myself of my “why.” Every obstacle became a lesson in patience, resilience, and resourcefulness.
The lesson I’ve learned is that you can’t wait for perfect conditions. You have to start with what you have, where you are, and grow as you go. I want the world to know that my brand is built on faith, family, and resilience. My story is proof that no matter where you start, you can create something meaningful and impactful if you refuse to give up.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit for a week, I would keep it fun but also true to who I am. We’d kick things off at The Twisted Crab in Buford, GA, because Floridians love seafood and that spot hits every time. One night we’d do a movie and some wine to relax wherever they’re staying, just catching up and laughing without all the noise of crowded spaces. My kids can be loud sometimes, so I prefer a laid-back vibe where we can really enjoy ourselves.
During the week we’d mix in a few light outings. Maybe a day trip to Stone Mountain to walk the trails and take in the views, and another day to check out Ponce City Market in Atlanta, it’s usually pretty chill there; especially on the roof top.
But honestly, most of the time we’d keep it cozy. Cooking together, sipping wine, watching movies, and enjoying peace. I’m more of a homebody, so I don’t need crowded environments to make memories. For me, the best time is created by being with the people I love, sharing some good food, and laughing.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mother taught me resilience, tough love, and survival. My grandmother taught me love, patience, and how to carry myself with strength and grace. My husband has been my rock, supporting me through the highs and the lows, and reminding me that I don’t have to carry everything on my own. My children are also my biggest motivation, because they became the reason I push through when life tried to break me. They remind me every day why quitting is not an option.
I owe recognition to the people who believed in me even when I was doubting myself. From customers who trusted me with their taste buds, to readers who trusted me with my story, that support has carried me further than I ever imagined. My journey has been built on faith, prayer, family, and community, and I know I would not be the woman I am today without those influences.
