We had the good fortune of connecting with Shakara Ross and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shakara, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Well I started yoni steaming on a personal level first, I had troubled periods so i started researching what i could do to make it better. so once i did my research and started doing it for myself and loving the results. i took an extensive course to become certified to do the yoni steams so i could educate others on holistic ways of handling heavy periods, fibroids, bacterial vaginosis and other things.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I own a Yoni Steaming Studio and an all natural haircare salon. The salon is all black female entrepreneurs. All the ladies have there hand in something to enhance the beauty of us women. you will never leave feeling the same way you entered.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Apache cafe, Cirque Daiquiri bar, ruth chris… definately go party with PRADA K KINNARD AND ALEX TUCKER. go hang out at the park or the aquarium

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
