We had the good fortune of connecting with Shadea Murphy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shadea, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand is the foundation that it was built on. I officially launched Spiked Delights Mobile Bartending in July of 2020 after spending 5 months in jail. Although it was not something I am proud of, it is also not something I will be ashamed of because that hardship ultimately fueled me to build the successful busines and brand that I currently have. I turned my lemons into an empire & within the last year and a half Spiked Delights has grown into a booming business, with over 10 employees and two locations we have hit the bartending scene with a bang with no signs of slowing down. All of this would not have been possible if I let my struggles get the best of me, so not only is Spiked Delights an amazing bartending service but we also serve as a reminder that you can overcome anything!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Spiked Delights is a luxury mobile bartending company that services events such as festivals, concerts, private events, weddings, corporate events and many more! Originally based out of New Jersey we have now officially expanded to the Atlanta region and surrounding areas. We offer services such as private bartending, cocktail tastings, bottle girl service and even customized bottles! With our wide range of services and amazing employees, they definitely set us apart. The expansion to Atlanta is hands down the most proudest moment I’ve had as a business owner. To know that not even two years ago I was at the lowest I’ve ever been in life & with some hard work, resilience and a passion for my craft I built a thriving business that has now expanded is a dream come true! Although this happened pretty quick, I was no stranger to challenges that were presented. Being a young, black, single mother is already hard in America not to mention starting a business from scratch. Without the proper knowledge or funding, I had to get on my grind and research things for myself. Most learning came from trial and error but no challenge was big enough to stand in my way. Spiked Delights is more than just a bartending business but also serves as an inspiration to never give up NO MATTER WHAT!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In my opinions some of the places I would take my best friend, would definitely be Red Phone Booth for the cocktails and food, Tyler Perry Studios, Trap Museum and of course some of the most famous history sites in the country!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost I would have to shoutout my kids Justin & Jayla for being the reason that I go so hard. Secondly, huge shoutout to my district managers Tati & Shaiye for believing in my vision and helping this brand grow. Also my mentor Kevin, who has guided and helped me through out my whole journey in the hospitality industry. Lastly I would not have gotten this far without the support & love from my community and my amazing publicist Post Jupiter Agency!
