Hi Shackisha, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
One thing about my industry, Tax Preparation & Planning, that most outsiders are unaware of is how intricate taxation is. Most people believe that taxes are about just getting tax refunds, but it is so much more complicated. People must be careful of how they report credits, deductions, & income to the IRS. The tax laws also change each year. Taxpayers can also save on taxes each year by implementing tax planning methods.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At L.T.P. we are committed to educating our clients on the unavoidable importance of accurate tax accounting, other financial responsibilities, & to assist our clients in taking the necessary steps to achieve their financial goals and other future financial obligations.

It was not an easy road. I lacked support & gave up most of my personal pleasure & finances because of my vision. I’ve learned you are your biggest asset, supporter, & Business partner. I’ve also learned that resting is just as important as working hard. I am most proud and exited that I have not given up despite obstacles. I’m looking foward to the future.

I want people to know that LTP will only continue to expand and will be one of the biggest, if not the #1, Tax firm in the country in the next 10 years.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The Metro-Atlanta area is vast and there are so many day-time as well as night-time activities. The best places to visit in my opinion is wither Piedmont Park in Atlanta or Alexandria Park in Snellville for a quick workout or relaxation under the sun. When I go to church, I like to visit Excel Church Worldwide in Conyers. My favorite restaurants in Atlanta is Spice House in Midtown, Escovitch in Snellville, & FireBirds in Lawrenceville. First Watch & Grayson Pancake House is always perfect for breakfast. If you like chickens wings, Atlanta serves the best chicken wings in the nation. The brunch spots in Atlanta are always unmatched as well. I love it here in Atlanta and there are so many things to do and visit. Ponce City Market rooftop is the perfect place to shop, play games, & even eat. I love it here in Atlanta.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shoutout to Amber Mcbride who has made the biggest impact on my career. I started in this industry January 2018, and she taught me the basics of how taxes work. She also introduced to me the importance of life insurance. I utilized the basic tools she instilled in me along with the great outlook of financial freedom she introduced to me. Because of her knowledge and the basics she have taught me, I have been unstoppable since. Thank You Amber. She is also a great Licensed Financial Advisor and way more knowledgeable than I am.
